Urgent: dsmj omn AIX does not open GUI

2009-12-30 Thread Botelho, Tiago (External)
Hello,

I'm trying to make and archive from my AIX clients using GUI. I only
have today for Downtime on my 12 AIX Servers.

Dsmj do not start client GUI, and I cannot know why.

Anyone can help? Thank you.

I connect remotely on each servers and do the following:

#Export DISPLAY=[MY_IP:0.0]

#cd /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin

#dsmj

Here it open a BA GUI interface (temporary) and then I received the
following box message:

ANS2609S TCP/IP communications failure between the browser
and the client machine.

On AIX side:

# dsmj

#

# cat dsmj.log

due to invalid address

Could you try to use WEB GUI?
It has the same interface as dsmj.

If you have not already, take a look at IBM Technote 1389435.
In any case, given the number of clients you intend to work with, it
would seem that the CLI would be the best, fastest vehicle for
accomplishing the work.

I take a look now. Thank you.

But ... How Can I archive ALL filesystem from a AIX Server using CLI??

Perform: dsmc archive -SUbdir=Yes /FileSystemName/
for each file system, being sure to have a slash on the end.
You can get a list of local file systems in AIX via
  /opt/freeware/bin/df --local
