Quality Score more closely to its three key sub factors

2013-08-30 Thread Anil Vadhavane
Hi,

Using Keyword Performance Report we get Quality Score for each keyword
through API.

Quality Score more closely to its three key sub factors -- expected
clickthrough rate https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1659696, ad
relevance https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1659752, and landing
page experience https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1659694. Is it
possible to get these sub factors information through API too? In Keywords
Performance Report we are not able to find any field for this.

Thanks

Hi Yuhao,

I think that your problem might be to do with your JDK setup, not the API,

 solve your problem. I'll post the OAuth playground example later

Re: BUG: API (v200909) had not throw duplicate adgrup exception

2013-08-30 Thread Dario Guzik
Hi!

I have encountered the same problem. Knowing the duplicate name restriction
on adGroups I took no special considerations and in some mutate jobs there
might have been duplicates. Now I have 2 copies of the same adGroups in
some campaigns.
I cand delete them manually, but I' d like to know why this could have
happened.

How to get a list of automatic placements for specific Ads?

2013-08-30 Thread denis . dorofeiev
Good day!

Automatic Placement Perfomance report gives a list of placements grouped by
Ad Groups. But my goal is to get costs information for specific ads on
specific placements because some ads may work better on some placements and
work worse on other and I can't figure out whether it's because of ad
design or it's just because the placement works bad.

How to retrieve FeedItemId from AdGroupFeeds

2013-08-30 Thread Alexandre Miyagi
Hi, I can't retrieve FeedItemIds from the matching function of the
adGrouoFeeds, because they return null.
The CampaignFeeds return the matching function normaly.
I created the adGroupFeed adapting the example to create CampaignFeed from
the documentation.

 // Get the AdGroupFeedService.
AdGroupFeedServiceInterface adGroupFeedService =
adWordsServices.get(session,
AdGroupFeedServiceInterface.class);

RequestContextOperand requestContextOperand = new
RequestContextOperand();

requestContextOperand.setContextType(RequestContextOperandContextType.FEED_ITEM_ID);

Function function = new Function();
function.setLhsOperand(new FunctionArgumentOperand[]
{requestContextOperand});
function.setOperator(FunctionOperator.IN);

ListFunctionArgumentOperand operands = new
ArrayListFunctionArgumentOperand();
for (long feedItemId : siteLinksData.siteLinkFeedItemIds) {
ConstantOperand constantOperand = new ConstantOperand();
constantOperand.setLongValue(feedItemId);
constantOperand.setType(ConstantOperandConstantType.LONG);
operands.add(constantOperand);
}
function.setRhsOperand(operands.toArray(new
FunctionArgumentOperand[operands.size()]));
AdGroupFeed adGroupFeed = new AdGroupFeed();
adGroupFeed.setFeedId(siteLinksData.siteLinksFeedId);

adGroupFeed.setAdGroupId(adGroupId);
adGroupFeed.setMatchingFunction(function);

adGroupFeed.setPlaceholderTypes(new int[] {PLACEHOLDER_SITELINKS});

AdGroupFeedOperation operation = new AdGroupFeedOperation();
operation.setOperand(adGroupFeed);
operation.setOperator(Operator.ADD);
AdGroupFeedReturnValue result =
adGroupFeedService.mutate(new AdGroupFeedOperation[]
{operation});

When I tried to retrieve the FeedItemId from the adGroupFeeds created, the
matching function return null.
So I created new adGroupFeeds in the AdwordsEditor, but they return a null
matching function too.

Thanks in advance.

Re: oauth2 mcc account vs adwords account

How can I fetch a list of clients I can access right after I got interactive OAuth2 access?

2013-08-30 Thread Christophe Porteneuve
Hi there,

I'm building an app that lets users interactively grant OAuth2 access to
their account for Adwords usage. However, once I got their access, I
haven't got any Adwords account ID yet, be it MCC or not, test or not.

The Google account I'm using for this is mine and its Adwords console
features a number of accounts, some test (technically so, that is), some
not. I need to get that list so I can provide a UI for my users to tell me
which actual client they want to focus on in my app.

Still, I can't figure it out. As soon as I remove the clientCustomerId from
my requests (I don't know of any yet!), I keep getting a
QuotaCheckError.INCOMPLETE_SIGNUP with null trigger. This is on a
ManagedCustomerService.get call with no filter. Even when I wrap it inside
a use_mcc call, I get the same result.

I'm using v201306 through the official Ruby libs, btw.

Any idea?

Thanks!

adToCopyImageFrom and MobileImageAd

2013-08-30 Thread Dominik R
Hi,

Any reason why adToCopyImageFrom field is not available on MobileImageAd
type like it is for ImageAd? Both ImageAd and MobileImageAd supposed to
have the same Image object, no?
Asking because MediaId is not populated when using AdGroupAdService and I
can't really see a way how can I create (duplicate) a new MobileImageAd
based on existing one.

Best,
Dom

Getting keywords with null 'text' field. (using GetAllAdGroupCriteria() method)

2013-08-30 Thread larisa bolgova
My code on java.
I have 4 different keywords, which I added by adwords web site.
I'm using GetAllAdGroupCriteria(), which returns object, containing 4
entries.
Each entry contains 'Criterion' object with 'Type' - KEYWORD, 'matchType' -
BROAD, some other fields and the main field 'text' is null.
I can understand what I'm doing wrong. Why text field of keyword is null

Problem when running OAuth2TokenGenerator.exe

I am building an ASP.NET application and trying to use Adwords API in this

However, I stuck in generating the OAuth2 Refresh Token.

I am following the steps described in the AdWords API Wiki and trying to

I don't understand the step 3: Build this project as msbuild Common.csproj

What is the meaning of this project?

Thanks,

Re: How to work with multiple accounts

2013-08-30 Thread Anash P. Oommen
Hi Eric,

AdWords API operates on one advertiser account at a time. So if you need to
run reports on all the accounts, then you need to
- Use OAuth2 to generate access token for your MCC account
- Call ManagedCustomerService to retrieve all child accounts under your MCC.
- Run individual threads to download the required report for each client
customer id you retrieved.

Hi,

If you use validateOnly header as true, then you won't get any results

If there are errors, you will get an exception back from the server. You
need to process it to fix the relevant errors and retry your API call.

Re: How can I fetch a list of clients I can access right after I got interactive OAuth2 access?

Hi Christophe,

If you could post a request and response xml, it would be most useful. That
said, once you have the OAuth2 token, you can make a call to
ManagedCustomerService.get to retrieve your account list. It should work
for an approved token, I can investigate why it doesn't work for a test
account.

 The Google account I'm using for this is mine and its Adwords console
 features a number of accounts, some test (technically so, that is), some
 not. I need to get that list so I can provide a UI for my users to tell me
 which actual client they want to focus on in my app.

 Still, I can't figure it out. As soon as I remove the clientCustomerId
 from my requests (I don't know of any yet!), I keep getting a
 QuotaCheckError.INCOMPLETE_SIGNUP with null trigger. This is on a
 ManagedCustomerService.get call with no filter. Even when I wrap it inside
 a use_mcc call, I get the same result.

 I'm using v201306 through the official Ruby libs, btw.

 Any idea?

 Thanks!

Hi Peter,

This project refers to Common.csproj. If you downloaded the binary zip,
then OAuth2TokenGenerator.exe should already be available in the lib\

directly instead of relying on OAuth2TokenGenerator, there's an ASP.NET

on Session as storage.

Re: Account hierarchy

2013-08-30 Thread Anash P. Oommen (AdWords API Team)
Hi Alex,

If you want to restrict the accounts to just the immediate children, then
you could check the [link[:manager_customer_id] to see if it matches your
account's CID. If it does, then link[:client_customer_id] is an immediate
child of your account.

Cheers,
Anash P. Oommen,
AdWords API Advisor.

Re: Trying to get Auth2 refresh token but get The redirect URI in the request: urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob did not match a registered redirect URI

2013-08-30 Thread Anash P. Oommen (AdWords API Team)
Hi Mark,

This could be because
548754232228-18j1fbi1rrt8ocrvp7ht6ajgdh78uvgv.apps.googleusercontent.com is
a web-type client in Google API Console. Try creating a new OAuth2 client
in Google API Console with type as Installed application and use those
settings.

 Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this?

Re: QuotaCheckError.INCOMPLETE_SIGNUP on test account, after accepting TC and setting up billing

2013-08-30 Thread Anash P. Oommen (AdWords API Team)
Hi Thiago,

You need to enter billing details for 398-201-7806 and accept AdWords API
TCs in the process. Once you do that, you should be able to make API calls
to the test account 614-796-4183.

 We have received your application for a test account for the Adwords API.
 After review, we have now enabled the following AdWords Customer IDs for
 testing with the API:

 Your developer MCCID: 398-201-7806
 Your new test account Customer ID: 614-796-4183

 But I am still getting the incomplete signup error...!!!

Display Network cost and the criteria performance report

2013-08-30 Thread HeatherH
In the thread below, I see that automatic placements are not included in
the criteria performance report. However, when I run this report (with no
filters applied), I see what looks like all of my clicks/cost values for
both search and display (automatic as well managed) ad groups.Has the
behavior of this report indeed changed in the past 2 years? Can I rely on
this report to give me all of my display network data for automatic and
managed placements?

Thanks,
Heather
