Could you confirm if you are loading the WSDL via https? If yes, could you

DUPLICATE_EXTENSION_FEED_ITEM_EDIT when adding extensions to multiple ad groups in one API call

2017-03-22 Thread JC Lee
I am trying to assign an extension to 2 different at ad groups at once in
one mutate call.

If the 2 ad groups are associated to the same extension (unrelated to the
new extension being assigned). Then the error occurs.

To help illustrate when the error occurs, here are some scenarios:

*Error occur scenario, has same extension*
AdGroup A and AdGroup B

   - Has an existing extension X
   - Newly associating associating extension Y

*No error scenario 1, empty extensions*
AdGroup A and AdGroup B

   - Has no extensions
   - Newly associating associating extension Y

*No error scenario 2, has different extensions*
AdGroup A

   - Has extension X
   - Newly associating associating extension Y

AdGroup B

   - Has extension Z
   - Newly associating associating extension Y

I think the error is triggered because the logic is assuming I am editing
the extension feed item X. Which I am not. I just want to add Y to both ad
groups.

How do I work around this without relying on 2 different calls or batch job?

Re: Oauth Authentication issue

2017-03-22 Thread Zweitze
Sreelakshmi's response is basically correct - and the witnessed behavior is
intended.

What you can do:
1. Build a "logout" functionality which revokes the refreshtoken.
2. Tell the user to visit My Google Account
web page (login as the intended user) and then follow the link "Connected
apps and sites". This page is a true gem! You can withdraw any app or site,
each corresponds to a refreshtoken.

If you want to automatically log out when the password changes, that is
possible too:
The documentation on expiration of tokens
 states
a refreshtoken also expires when "The user changed passwords and the token
contains Gmail scopes.". Remember that when you ask the user to authorize,
you pass a scope telling you want to access the AdWords information. You
can actually pass multiple scopes and use the same token for multiple APIs.
So if you add one of the gmail scopes
 then all should be
OK. The downside is that when authorizing, the user sees that your software
not only needs access to his AdWords accounts, but also to his gmail.

Hope this helps.

Re: FeedItemService.get() returns no policyData for Price Extensions

Hi Shwetha,

You were right, the Feed Item was pending review and therefore had no
policy data. Which somewhat sucks because I just need the field mappingId,
which can only be found through policyData.
Now the item was approved and I got the policyData and its feedMappingId.

Re: API no longer delivering YouTube data?

2017-03-22 Thread Zweitze
I got results this morning - with a different query, but nevertheless.

Do you know which AdWords API version your tool is using? Maybe your tool
is using an outdated version, and doesn't handle the API response
correctly. I remember v201603 retired late January.

Hope this helps.

Re: Geo lookup failed for location Error in Canonical_Name field

2017-03-22 Thread 'Carlos Leonardo Rosario' via AdWords API Forum
Hello guys,

We also had this error while working on Dynamic creatives in DoubleClick
Studio.

*ISSUE:*
Some geographical targets from AdWords API
 (
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/geotargeting
)
produce the following error when transforming in the dynamic profile:
*See* https://screenshot.googleplex.com/3Sfax3xg2Sq.png
* Error Geo lookup failed
 for location
"Bordeaux,Nouvelle-Aquitaine,France" referenced in the field labeled
Geo_Code for record number 2.*

Some team mates have noted this only happens for short period of time and
then it is not reproducible. Also, this issue happens when
IDs/CanonicalNames are updated internally but are not *yet* updated in the
external
interface

Is there a way to file a bug for this?

Thank you!

API no longer delivering YouTube data?

2017-03-22 Thread Alexander Volk

I'm using a data integration tool called Data Virtuality to pull data from
the AdWords API. The tool structures translates calls to different sources
into SQL.

Below is an example query that is set up to retrieve Youtube Network data.
This query stopped delivering data on Jan. 30th with no change to it or any
perceivable change to the API. There are also still active YouTube
campaigns in the queried MCC.

Has there been any change that I might not be aware of?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you very much for your feedback. The AdWords team is aware of this

available via the API.

As Max already mentioned, using the UI to schedule this report would be the
available alternative.

Re: Oauth Authentication issue

2017-03-22 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

The details explained is in sync with the expected behavior.

By following the steps that you have explained, your application did
authorize the user during the very first API call. During this call you
were required to be logged in as that specific user and grant permission to
the API by manually accepting the prompt on the browser. Once this step was
completed, the OAuth flow generated refresh token which was saved in our
local directory as credential corresponding to the specific user. This
refresh token is being used in every subsequent API calls to generate the
access token. User authentication for all these calls are done using the
refresh token together with the client credentials which were also
generated prior to the first call using the specific user Id.

That said, changing the password of your email account should not impact
the API calls until you revoke the current refresh token. If you revoke the
existing refresh token, you will need to repeat the same steps that you did
for your very first API call.

Please let me know if to have any additional questions.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

What is the best way to offline add conversions

2017-03-22 Thread Yosi Kalmanson
Hello,

We ran a website that is selling using partner websites. My goal is to
upload the sales data to Google Analytics or Google Adword once we get the
sales data from our partners. What I've tried so far is to record the
Google Analytics user id and later on when I get the sales data
use Analytics Measurement Protocol to upload sales. This doesn't seem to
work as I have created Audience, in Adwords, based on the Goal which count
the sales but this Audience doesn't really grow as expected even though
Analytics is showing the right amount of conversions.

Any idea for fixing the current process or using different process to
offline add conversions?

Thanks,
Yosi

Re: Geo lookup failed for location Error in Canonical_Name field

2017-03-22 Thread 'Carlos Leonardo Rosario' via AdWords API Forum
Hello guys,

We also had this error while working on Dynamic creatives in DoubleClick
Studio.

*ISSUE:*
Some geographical targets from AdWords API
 (
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/geotargeting
)
produce the following error when transforming in the dynamic profile:
*See* https://screenshot.googleplex.com/3Sfax3xg2Sq.png
* Error Geo lookup failed
 for location
"Bordeaux,Nouvelle-Aquitaine,France" referenced in the field labeled
Geo_Code for record number 2.*

Some team mates have noted this only happens for short period of time and
then it is not reproducible. Also, this issue happens when
IDs/CanonicalNames are updated internally but are not *yet* updated in the
external
interface

Is there a way to file a bug for this?

Please look at case 6-583716394
 for mor reference.

Thank you.

We are still receiving negative impressions (-1 or -2) from the

We too have modelled our data representation on the assumption that

As this is a 5 year old thread i don't harbour much hope but you can add my
name to the list of API users that is very keen to see this report added.
Clearly the useful information that most people are after is their
performance vs competitors rather than the small list of metrics available
in other reports.

Agreed. There's clearly a demand but its being refused.

I wish we could just be told why it's not being made available. If there's a
logical reason, fine. But at least tell us.

If Google doesn't want to expose this data for third party competitive analysis

FeedItemService.get() returns no policyData for Price Extensions

2017-03-22 Thread Zweitze
Using v201607, I call FeedItemService.get().
All feed items have policyData set, except the feed item that is a Price
Extension.

I need the policyData to figure out which field is which.
I don't have logs of the HTTP-traffic, but I do have a recent requestID:
00054b51aed5ce380a37a009a8012863

Can someone take a look?

I have another question regarding Price Extensions:
Every price not only has a Final URL, but also a Mobile Final URL. However, the
documentation on Feed Placeholders

does not mention Mobile Final URLs.

Can this information be included?

Thanks in advance,
Zweitze de Vries

Oauth Authentication issue

2017-03-22 Thread cv
Hello,

I am using Oauth 2.0 for Authentication and I have used Authorization Code
Grant and requesting an “offline” scope.

I have refreshtoken with me, based on refreshtoken I am able to get Access
Token

Now my client has changed the password 3-4 days ago, but I can still get
the data with refreshtoken I have with old password.

Does this right behaviour?

I am thinking If password changed I cannot get data with immediate effect.

This looks like little wired, please let me know what I can do to prevent
this?

Thanks,

Hi,

The AdWords API currently does not have any tool that can be used to
monitor its usage. You may, however, refer to the API's rate sheet
 and use it to
implement a usage monitoring tool at your end.

Best regards,

Re: Add extensions to multiple ad groups like AdWords UI

2017-03-22 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi JC,

Do note that AdWords UI features doesn't always have a direct counterpart
in AdWords API. However, if you wish to manage concrete Feed Items such as
CalloutFeedItem, then we recommend that you use Extension Setting Services

instead.
You may follow this guide

 for
adding and updating

 ad
extensions using Extension Setting Services. When retrieving the ad
extensions, you can use the ExtensionType field

 which
indicates its type. There are also a number of sample implementation

available
in different languages that you could refer to.

On the other hand, we already informed the team with regards to your
initial request of having a single operation for adding extensions to
multiple ad groups. As mentioned earlier, we can't guarantee that it will
be included in future releases or when it will be available. In the
meantime, try the different API services we've shared and follow our blog
 to check
on future updates.

Regards,
Ivan
AdWords API Team

Re: PHP: SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL

2017-03-22 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Cristiano,

Could you confirm if your PHP version is up to date and if have you tried
referring to the Github guide
 for setting up your PHP
client library? If you are upgrading from an older version, you could also
refer to this document
 on
how to migrate.

Best regards,
Peter
