Re: Adwords API Call - Client Customer ID (Python)

2017-10-03 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Clarissa,

For your first question, kindly get in touch with the Python library owners
via this link as
they are more equipped to assist you regarding this. As for your second
question, it seems that the clientCustomerId is not being included in your
request header.

This being said, could you confirm if you have configured your client
library as discussed here

 and
that you specified the client account ID and removed the '*#'* in the
*client_customer_id* property?

Re: How to GET number of Campaigns, AdGroups and Keywords under any account

2017-10-03 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

You may opt to use either the AdWords Services or reports. For the
services, you may refer to the GetCampaigns

, GetAdGroups

, GetExpandedTextAds

 and GetKeywords

 (other
languages also available in the link) examples. You may then use the
Status/ServingStatus fields as filter.

As for the reports which also contains statistics, you may use the Campaign
Performance Report

, AdGroup Performance Report

, Ad Performance Report

 and Keywords Performance Report

 and
filter as well using their respective Status related fields. Let me know if
this helps.

Thanks and regards,

Does anyone know what is going on? It sortof seems like they are getting a

Hi Dmitry,

The Expanded Text Ads with an additional line of description are
experimental ad formats and not supported in AdWords API at the moment.
You'll be able to get regular ExpandedTextAds via AdWords API reports or
services as usual. You could consider contacting AdWords product support
and ask them to opt you
out of experimental ad formats. And then ask them to convert your existing
ads back into Expanded Text Ad format.

Adwords API Call - Client Customer ID (Python)

Two Issues here I think.

1) WARNING:googleads.common:Your default encoding, cp1252, is not UTF-8.

How can I fix this? I'm using python 2.7.14 if that is helpful?

I have the client customer ID included in my google.yaml file so I'm not
sure why I can't authenticate.

CustomerSyncService return data

2017-10-03 Thread Максим Мазурок
Hey,
I have problems interpreting return data from CustomerSyncService.
The problem is, return data contains Ids, which were not changed during the
requested period of time.
For both, keywords and ads. I compare it to Change history in AdWords UI
and to Change colums in Campaign/AdGroups tabs.
How can this extra ids get into my response? Am i missing something?
Help me please.

Re: ad-performance-report does not include TEXT_AD type Ads

2017-10-03 Thread Dmitry Iliev
Hi Shwetha, why then I starting to see such 'Expanded Text Ad' type ads
being returned by API on later days, for example on Sept 30th for the same
customerId, but API data does not match what is being seen UI, is the
reason for that - not full proper support by Adword API yet?

When it would be possible to see those ads supported by API?

Documentation here states they should be supported
already
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/expanded-text-ads#reporting

Could you list other type of Ads yet not supported by reporting Adwords
API? I asking on behalf of company that supports hundreds of clients using
adwords and providing us access to their AdWords account for reporting
purpose. We operate under Standard level of access, getting data from
reporting API matching Adword UI precisely is crucial.

Re: FeedItem Feed Upload

2017-10-03 Thread 'Jude Amagoh' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Sam,

You can create your feeds using the FeedService

and
then populate your FeedItems using the FeedItemService
.

Here is a sample

 in
Java which creates and populates a SiteLink Feed. If you wish to upload the
FeedItems to a Feed in bulk, you can use the FeedItemOperation

 in
BatchjobService. You can check the code samples for BatchJobService here
.

Samples in other languages can also be found here

Re: How to exclude placements at account level in API?

2017-10-03 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hello,

I'm afraid, it is not possible to exclude placements at the account level
through the API. However, you will be able to exclude campaigns at the
campaign level using the NegativeCampaignCriterion

 and
at the Ad group level using the NegativeAdGroupCriterion

 where
you will have to specify the criterion type as required. Please refer to this
article on how to
exclude placements at the account level using the AdWords UI.

Thanks,

Re: ad-performance-report does not include TEXT_AD type Ads

2017-10-03 Thread Dmitry Iliev
Could you please check more, I would like to do correction that returned by
API ads were of the type *Expanded text ad* actually, it was my mistake to
call them TEXT ad in the message.

I see them in the UI on 9/21, for example 4th row from the sent by me
screenshot, with the cost $22.49, this info is not returned by API and the
rest of ads on the 5th 6th 7th 8th row

which are all of the Ad type
*"Expanded text ad"*
I'm looking only for ads with greater than 0 impressions in the UI and
looking for the same in API results. As result of not reporting all ads
performed on specified date, total cost from API does not match total cost
from the UI significantly.

then the service will not return any results. Please note that Video

Re: Issues with BatchJobService - jobs remain stuck

2017-10-03 Thread 'Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hello Roger,

Could you please open a new forum thread for this? This one is pretty old,
and it really helps to have a new forum thread for a new issue.

Thanks,
Nadine, AdWords API Team

 Hello Stefan,

I have good news! We've been working through processing through the
queue of hanging jobs. You should be seeing an improvement in that these
hanging jobs should be reaching a final state e.g. canceling should now be
canceled. You may still see a few hanging, but the majority should have
reached a final state. We're still working on fixing the root cause.

 Take care,

CampaignService get => 0 results

2017-10-03 Thread Roger
Hi,

I'm trying to get Campaign out of a CustomerId but i get an empty result

The account budget has ended AND no ads are running (nothing since sep
2016)!
Reading the api documentation i don't see why i shouldn't retrieve campaign
even ended... but any try goes to an empty answer

I tried to add predicate on Status and ServingStatus to include everything
but still no result

Is there something i missed??

Thanks for your help

Unfortunately, it won't make a difference whether or not it's a small job
versus a larger job. One of my teammates put it quite well when he said
that a larger job may have a higher chance of getting stuck, but on the
other hand when it does go through, it gets through more operations. Just
so you know, when a job is in a canceling state, it will not execute any
more operations, so you can submit the rest of the operations that did not

ad-performance-report does not include TEXT_AD type Ads

2017-10-03 Thread Dmitry Iliev

When pulling Ad Performance Report data from clients Adwords Account,
result does not include all ads shown in UI even those where number of
impressions much > 0

Here is query example

SELECT AdGroupId, AdGroupName, AdType, AverageCpc,AverageCpm,
AveragePosition, CampaignId, CampaignName,
 Clicks, Cost, CreativeDestinationUrl, CreativeUrlCustomParameters, Date,
DayOfWeek,
 Description1, Description2, Device, DisplayUrl, ExternalCustomerId,
Headline,
Id, ImageAdUrl, ImageCreativeName, Impressions, CriterionId, LabelIds,
Labels,
 CreativeTrackingUrlTemplate, CreativeFinalUrls, CreativeFinalMobileUrls,
CreativeUrlCustomParameters, VideoViews
FROM AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
WHERE Status IN [ENABLED, PAUSED]
...

I'm using recent API v201708, error was previously noticed on v201609 as
well

Please advice if those ads should be returned by AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

My expectation is that (as stated in the doc) *The Ad Performance report
includes all statistics aggregated at the ad level, one row per ad* ,
meaning all type of ads and total cost from the ad report on specific day
should match Ad report in UI. This is not happening in this particular case.

Re: Where can I check the adjusted bid I made in a placement?

2017-10-03 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Ben,

You can refer to the below Java code on which you can convert to PHP as
this is just a simple code:

Placement urlPlacement = new Placement();
urlPlacement.setId(XXX);
urlPlacement.setUrl("site.www.hello.com");

BiddableAdGroupCriterion adGroupCriterion = new BiddableAdGroupCriterion();
adGroupCriterion.setAdGroupId(XXX);
adGroupCriterion.setCriterion(urlPlacement);
adGroupCriterion.setBidModifier(BID_MODIFIER);

AdGroupCriterionOperation operation = new AdGroupCriterionOperation();
operation.setOperand(adGroupCriterion);
operation.setOperator(Operator.SET);

AdGroupCriterionServiceInterface adGroupCriterionService =
adWordsServices.get(session, AdGroupCriterionServiceInterface.class);

AdGroupCriterionReturnValue result =
adGroupCriterionService.mutate(new AdGroupCriterionOperation[] {
operation});

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Vincent

Some keywords are failing whole volume batch in TargettingIdeaService

2017-10-03 Thread PPC London

Hi All

I am having an issue with TargetingIdeaService while getting volumes for
keywords, since last week.

I have three keywords: car insurance, used car, glass bowl

If I request volumes in one batch for first two keywords, I get the volumes
back for both keywords.

However, if I include the the third keyword "glass bowl" into the batch
(total 3 keywords in batch now) , I do not get any volumes back for any of
the keyword.

I have attached the log files for both the requests.

And this is not the only keyword which fails the whole batch, there are
many others (eg. "fires", "1930s", "belgian", "body bags", "bodybags",
"glass bowl", "accident", "alligator", may more), and almost all of my
batches are not returning anything.

Please if someone can help me, its bit urgent.

Many Thanks
Suk

Re: missing "total - all removed ads" in pulling using API

2017-10-03 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Ejay,

Removed ads can be retrieved by using the *Status IN [DISABLED]*. Doing so
will have them included in the Ad Performance Report that you wish to
generate. If you have further doubts and in order to better investigate
your issue, could you provide your clientCustomerId, the complete
screenshot of the AdWords UI view and the generated report file? You may
reply using the *Reply privately to author* option.

Thanks and regards,

Re: Where can I check the adjusted bid I made in a placement?

2017-10-03 Thread bruce
Hello Vincent,

Thank you for your reply. Do you have a sample code that I can based my
code on? I am using PHP. But I will just convert your answer code to PHP. I
will start from there.
Thank you so much for answering, this would be very useful.

Re: Google’s Keyword Planner Combines Keywords for Search Volumes, will Google Search Console do the same? If so, when?

Hi,

I'm from the AdWords API team and here to provide support. I'm afraid our
team cannot comment further regarding the Google Search Console as it is
already out of scope for our team. As for the Keywords Planner of the
AdWords API, the product experts at the AdWords Community Forum

would
be able to assist you better as they are more equipped to answer product
related questions.

Re: Where can I check the adjusted bid I made in a placement?

2017-10-03 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

You can use the 2nd screenshot (Display network tab) to check if the
changes to your bidModifier for placement was applied. You may also use the
"View history" if you want to check for the detailed change history of an
entity.

Also, based on your second screenshot for the "listverse.com" placement,
your placement is under an ad group, therefore, you need to use the
BiddableAdGroupCriterion

 of AdGroupCriterionService

 in
setting the bidModifier
,

and not the CampaignCriterion. You can refer to the sample SOAP request
below so you can emulate:

https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201708";>

SET
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201708"; xsi:type=
"ns2:BiddableAdGroupCriterion">

1.5

Re: Get ZIP Code of active Campaign

2017-10-03 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Dominik,

You may use the CampaignCriterionService.get

 to
extract the CampaignId

 and
the other details such as the DisplayType

 of
the location type criterion. You may also generate the Campaign Location
Target Report

 to
retrieve the statistics of your location-based criterion. You can then
compare the Id

 field
of the report to the *Criteria ID field* of the geo targeting spreadsheet
 to
identify which of them are of *TargetType = Postal Code*. Let me know if
this helps.

Thanks and regards,

missing "total - all removed ads" in pulling using API

2017-10-03 Thread ejay . opiniano
Hi adwords Team,

Here is my code to get an Ad details per day

SELECT CampaignName, CampaignId, AdGroupId, Id,'
. 'Impressions, Clicks, Ctr FROM AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT '
. 'WHERE Id = '.$adwordsId.' AND Status IN [ENABLED,
PAUSED] DURING '.$adwords_start_date.','.$adwords_start_date

But as i check the reporting in my system, it has missing clicks, and upon
checking my database it is very close to the "Total - all but removed ads" of
Google Adwords Interface

Question is, are you generating data from removed ads too?
NOTE: I have no missing date or day in my dbase, so I am 100% sure that i'm
pulling ad details daily. :)

Thanks,

Ejay

Google’s Keyword Planner Combines Keywords for Search Volumes, will Google Search Console do the same? If so, when?

2017-10-03 Thread Ford SEO
For a long time now, Google Adwords Keyword Planner via the API has
combined similar keywords into groupings (abbreviations, misspellings,
plurals, acronyms with the long version, stemming variants (er, ing, ed),
words with a space and without a space (f-150, f 150, f150), words with
punctuation)

The problem is that when you map and marry with clicks from Google Search
Console, it is very difficult to do - - as the Google Search Console tool
does not group keywords together.

The question is: will Google Search Console move to group together keywords
like Google Adwords? If so, when?

Also, is there a way Google Adwords Keyword Planner API can provide details
on which words it has grouped together? When you upload a set of keywords,
it will return the results without letting you know how it has combined
them.

Re: Need to bypass all adwords endpoint url to different url from java client library v201708

2017-10-03 Thread hari krishna
Hi Josh,

No it is not a proxy server. We are using datapower. Using datapower (IBM
DataPower Appliances - *Service gateway appliance (XG45)* )we will create
apis which intern call actual adwords apis, From our java adwords client
library we would like to call datapower urls instead of adwords apis,I want
to know is there any way that I can change the endpoint urls in code so
that i can call datapower urls instead of google adwords api.

Thanks!
Hari.

Re: how to create display network only campaign and ads with google adwords api?

2017-10-03 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

In the AddCampaigns

 example
(other languages are also available in the link), you can refer to the code
that creates an AdvertisingChannelType.DISPLAY

 campaign.
As for the AdGroup, you no longer need to specify a value for the
AdGroupType

 field
as it is read-only and is generated automatically. In the AddAdGroup

 example,
just make sure to specify the CampaignId

 of
the display campaign.

As for the Ad Types, you can refer to this guide

 for
more information on which ads can serve in the Display Network. Let me know
if this helps.

Best regards,
Peter
