Developing basic functionality to enable/pause campaigns in an account

2017-10-20 Thread Xipher

Hello to all,

My intended initial use of the adwords API is to list campaigns in an
account, and show a pause/enable button next to each. That's it.

I have a test API token.

Only I will be accessing this tool.

How long will it take for the Adwords Dev team to approve my tool so that I
can use it live?

Thank you in advance

Re: can i create campaign in others accounts?

2017-10-20 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Che,

You are right, you should use the OAuth credentials of your Manager account
in this scenario. However, the clientCustomerId

 in
the request header

 should
correspond to the client account in which you need the Campaign to be
created. You can check the linked sample in reports which sets the
clientCustomerId dynamically
.

Please give this a try and let me know if you are able to create the
campaign successfully.

Thanks,

Re: AdWords reporting data finalization

2017-10-20 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Austin,

Reporting in AdWords is not real-time. In most cases, the performance stats
are delayed by less than three hours. Some metrics take longer to process
and they are calculated only once a day. You can read about determining the
data freshness in this
 guide. If you are
running report for the current day or the previous day, we recommend that
you rerun them on a later day to gather any adjustments. Let me know if you
have any additional questions.

Re: can i create campaign in others accounts?

2017-10-20 Thread Che Siri
I will set an example to develop my question.
I have an account that handles other accounts.
When I started my application I was authenticated with my main account. When
I create (for example) a campaign I do it like this:
  CampaignService campaignService = (CampaignService) user.GetService (
AdWordsService.v201708.CampaignService);
The "user" object is the one in charge to tell which account I will create
my campaign.
How do I tell the CampaignService to create a campaign in another account
associated with mine?

Thank you very much.

AdWords reporting data finalization

2017-10-20 Thread Austin Smith
Hi,

At what point do reporting metrics (ie. stats downloaded from reports)
actually finalize? I've seen a comment on a specific document that stats
may change at least 1 day after they are initially recorded, but I have not
seen any detailed information on this subject.

Re: {loc_physical_ms} values and Target Type

2017-10-20 Thread 'Jude Amagoh' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Pascal,

While using the ValueTrack Parameter, {loc_physical_ms} within your URL to
get the ID of the location, you can't restrict which type of location IDs
it collect's. But by utilizing the LocationCriterionService
,

you'll be able to retrieve the criterion ID for a location. In this
scenario you must include predicates
,
which is equivalent to filters in the Adwords user interface. Include the
location you wish to specify within your predicate to get results for that
area. Here's a link

 with
sample code in Java that illustrates this process. For other languages
please visit the Adwords client library
.

Re: TargetingIdeaService: no results returned when in the keywords list there is at least one keyword with the term "news"

There are many issues like this. if a single word or multi-word keyword
search contains the word 'grief' nothing is returned from the API. Not
state or ideas. This is the same when using the keyword planner. I'm
finding more and more that other words return inconsistent results.

googleads-php-lib TargetingIdeaService doesn't return stats on some keywords

2017-10-20 Thread Douglas Lewis

here is an example of two keywords that don't return STATS information on
the actual keyword (there are many more)
natural recovery supplement
grief (or any multi word keyword that includes grief). Actually, grief
doesen't even return IDEAS.

Also quite often, the IDEAS results return numbers that very significantly
from the Google keyword planner. Below are the results that I look for.
AttributeType::SEARCH_VOLUME,
AttributeType::AVERAGE_CPC,
AttributeType::COMPETITION

I just noticed also that the keyword planner doesn't like these two
keywords.

Re: Policy Violation Error with any keyword: operand.criterion.text; trigger:' '

2017-10-20 Thread Demian melskens
Hello everyone,

I had the same problem.
It turned out one of my spaces in the criterion text was a multibyte one.

I fixed this by converting the text to the right encoding and replacing the
multibyte space with a normal space.

{loc_physical_ms} values and Target Type

2017-10-20 Thread Pascal MERRIEN
Hi,

I want to run an adwords campaign and get the physical location of the user
through a parameter in the final URL. I read it is possible to add
{loc_physical_ms} in the url to get the ID of the location.

I saw in the list of IDs of location that we have different Target type :
Airport, City, Postcode, departement...

I would like to know how to make sure to get only the ID of the location
corresponding to the City (target type) ?

Thank you

Regards
Pascal

2017-10-20 Thread Bilal Iqbal
Hi,
I have been using Google PHP library and trying to create Campaigns,
Adgroups and Ads using this example
.

Now the issue is I also want to send Location and Language along with my

to find anything related to adding Location or Language. Neither I got
anything in Campaign class as well.

I am using library version v201708.

Please help me so I can add them as well, while creating campaign. I am

Re: What are requirements for poxy server to coop with Google AdWordsAPI library

2017-10-20 Thread Dorian Kind
I think you need to take a look at this issue with your administrator, as
it's hard to say what's going on without knowing how your proxy setup looks
like.

To the best of my knowledge, as far as the Adwords API client library is
concerned, all you need is to be able to make HTTPS requests to the
"adwords.google.com" host. Except probably for the BatchJobService, which
AFAIK uses Google Cloud Storage to up/download large jobs.

How to get the actual keyword text as part of Keywords Performance report?

2017-10-20 Thread abe
This feel like a stupid question, but I am having a hard time figuring out
which field I need to include when pulling KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

in order to get the actual text for the keyword? I've looked over the
documentation here:

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/keywords-performance-report

which includes all sorts of useful information, but I haven't been able to
identify which field contains the text of the keyword. I tried including
the field `keyword` but that throws an error. I also tried pulling
`labels` but that doesn't have what I need. Any suggestions on where to
look?

Although computing this figure manually is possible, it's not practical
when you need to do it for millions of data points a day.

The *All Conv Value / Cost*, commonly known as ROAS (return on ad spend),
is an extremely useful metric especially for ecommerce advertisers. It
would really be of great help if you can include it in the reports.

Regards

Oliver

Re: strange results from TargetingIdeaService (keyword planner)

2017-10-20 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Daphna,

In order for me to better investigate, could you provide the SOAP request
and response that was generated when you made the request that returned 0
results? You may reply using the *Reply privately to author* option.

Additionally, could you also confirm if you tried the Keyword Planner using
the same filters and got results instead of 0? You may also send to me the
complete screenshot of your Keyword Planner request.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Re: Cannot find Watch Time and Avg. Watch time/impressions in the API

2017-10-20 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Currently, the " Watch
time" and "Avg. watch time / impr."
 metrics are only
available in the AdWords UI and not supported via AdWords API. You may,
however, follow our blog

 for
future updates.

Re: CustomerNegativeCriterion and Video campaigns

2017-10-20 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Tim,

As mentioned in this discussion

 the
criteria you create using the CustomerNegativeCriterionService should apply
to all the campaigns within that account including display and video
campaigns. I hope this helps and let us know if you require more
information.

Thanks and regards,
Peter
