Re: Does criteria performance report reveal every criteria combination by specifying zeroimpression ?

2018-07-11 Thread 'Peter Oliquino (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

I did a test on my local using my test account and what you have observed
should be correct. Setting the *includeZeroImpressions = false* would also
return those other information that could help you better identify your ad
group criterion's hierarchy.

However, you may take note that the CriteriaType

 returned
would depend on AdWords, so what you would retrieve may not be entirely
that of a Campaign to a UserList criterion structure.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Re: Device setting (php)

2018-07-11 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Are you referring to targeting the mobile and tablet device to your
campaign? If so, you may use the CampaignCriterionService

 and
use the Platform

 criterion
to target the mobile and tablet device. You may refer to this guide

 for
their respective criterion id. Also, you may refer to this sample code

 in
PHP on how to add a criteria to your campaign. However, that sample code
used Location and Language criteria. All you need to do is to change the
criterion object to Platform.

Feel free to write back for any clarifications.

Hi Niko and to everyone following this thread,

My apologies for the confusion in my previous post. To correct the process
I mentioned, the REMOVE operation should no longer be required when adding
new members to an existing list. Users should be able to send an ADD
operation directly using the AdwordsUserListService.mutateMembers() to add
new members within their lists.

Shopping Campaigns: Pausing products temporarily

2018-07-11 Thread David Antunes
Hi,

I'd like to pause some products from selling in a shopping campaign
(because they are out of stock, or other reasons), so I intend to exclude
them.
However I'd like to re-enable them (set those nodes back to the "Biddable"
state) and that they maintained the previous bid value from when they were
biddable before - is there a way to do this with the API?

Many thanks!

Does criteria performance report reveal every criteria combination by specifying zeroimpression ?

2018-07-11 Thread hzzlzz
Greetings,

In
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/criteria-performance-report,

it says this report includes statistics aggregated at the ad group criteria
level, one row per ad group and criteria combination.
I know it is a single attribution report, only one triggering criteria is
recorded for one impression, but zero impression can be used together to
download full structure.

Does that mean if I have user list 1 attaches campaign 1 and 2. This
criteria will appear with each adgroup under those campaigns if I specify
zeroimpression ?

Re: KPI estimates for display campaign

2018-07-11 Thread Térence Delsate
Hi Bharani,
thank you for your quick reply.

What I am trying to recover is actually the estimates provided in the right
side of the campaign / adgroup creation window of the UI. I am using the
TrafficEstimator, but I am unsure that this is the correct way to do so.
Indeed, the estimate in the UI don't require a keyword, but only a budget.
Is it another service than the TrafficEstimator that I should use ?

I join a print screen of the area contining the data mentionned above.

Many thanks !

Térence

USER_DOES_NOT_HAVE_ACCESS_TO_TEMPLATE

2018-07-11 Thread Philo
Hi,

Since yesterday we are experiencing the following error when deploying
display campaigns:
[AdError.USER_DOES_NOT_HAVE_ACCESS_TO_TEMPLATE @
operations[0].operand.ad.templateId; trigger:'419']

The docs state: "The user does not have permissions to create a template ad
for the given template."

I have no idea why this is happening. We haven't seen this error before,
and the ID 419 is we've been using for over a year without any problems.
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/templateads

Any ideas?

Google API Requirements

2018-07-11 Thread mrasomlith

We are seeking to meet the requirements to get access to the Google API.
 We have a few questions:

   1.

   Is a client that plans to subscribe to our tool considered as a third
   party?
   2.

   In order to meet the requirements for “Full Service” there are a list of
   functions “C-Class” and “M-Class” functions, do we need to implement all
   functions in order to maintain “Full-Service” access even though our
   clients may not use those functions?

Thank you!

Re: CampaignBidModifier

2018-07-11 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

You will be able to set the bid adjustments

 for Platform

 criteria
at the campaign level using the CampaignCriterionService.mutate()

 operation.
Please find the code snippet in Java as a reference:

Platform platform = new Platform();
platform.setId(30002L);

CampaignCriterion criterion = new CampaignCriterion();
criterion.setCampaignId(1380941499L);
criterion.setCriterion(platform);
criterion.setBidModifier(0.5);

CampaignCriterionOperation operation = new CampaignCriterionOperation();
operation.setOperand(criterion);
operation.setOperator(Operator.SET);

CampaignCriterionOperation[] operations1 = new CampaignCriterionOperation[]
{operation};
CampaignCriterionReturnValue result =
campaignCriterionService.mutate(operations1);

You can also take a look at the AddCampaignTargetingCriteria

 code
sample in Java as a reference. Code samples in other languages can be found
here . Let
me know if you have any other questions.

Re: KeywordsPerformanceReport Quality Score Device Segmentation

Thanks Teja. I am using Keywords id and adgroups id as a key to define
keyword so this combination should be unique.

Is there a way to get Keywords quality score directly from the Device
segmented one? I am assuming this is not simply an average of other formula?

Thanks,

Re: Retrieval of Conversion Code on Page Load

2018-07-11 Thread 'Milind Sankeshware (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Krishna,

If you are using the v201710 version of the API, you will be able to get
the code using snippet

field via ConversionTrackerService.get()
.

This will match the code given in the In AdWords old interface (as you
attached in your previous email). From V201802 version of the API, several
changes were made to support global site tags and event snippets
, which offer more
streamlined tagging across all Google products. If you are using the snippet

field to track conversions, please migrate to the new global site tags and
event snippets instead. For more information please refer to the release
notes
.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Milind, AdWords API Team.

Re: How to get user list id in get campaign

2018-07-11 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Tarun,

To get the AdWordsUserList associated with a campaign as a CriterionUserList
,

you can use the CampaignCriterionService.get()

 and
filter with the campaign Id. You can look for the attributes userListId

, userListName

 etc.,
in the API response. You could check the GetCampaignTargetingCriteria

 sample
in Java client library to get all the campaign level targeting criterion.
Samples in other languages can also be found here
.

Re: Can we use AdService to update only specific parts of an ETA?

2018-07-11 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Yang,

With the previous versions of the API, v201802 and earlier, the Ads were
immutable. Using v201806, you will be able to mutate your ads without
losing their performance data using AdService
.
For this, you will have to add all the required fields listed here
.

Currently, it is not possible to update only specific elements without the
required fields. However, I have shared your concern with the team. Please
keep an eye on our blog
 for any
updates or announcements related to this feature.

Display Campaigns not showing in UI but included in Campaign Report

2018-07-11 Thread Oksana Sulyma
Hi Adwords support!
I've faced interesting case using Campaign Performance Report

I see there Campaigns with
AdNetworkType1 = Display Network
But these campaigns don't appear in Display Campaigns section in Adwords
UI.
I can provide the Report and UI screenshot in private massage.
I wonder what could be an explanation of such behavior?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Expression Rule User List Error

2018-07-11 Thread 'Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Danny,

I do understand that you told me that you can create a Custom Intent in
that account. However, the request ID you sent me and the error you sent me
are tied to a request to create a Custom Intent failed. I was only
debugging exactly what you sent me. Now, i'm guessing you may have
accidentally sent me the incorrect request ID and error if it is indeed
successful as you say it is.

Could you please send me the other request ID and error that correspond
with the request you're making to create the ad group criterion? It would
be later in your logs than the request ID you sent me. That way I can
verify how you're structuring your request and what the error is for that
specific call.

Thanks,

Can we use AdService to update only specific parts of an ETA?

2018-07-11 Thread Yang Gao
Hi, I'm trying to use AdService to update only the final url of some
existing ads but I'm getting errors saying that headline and description

ad rather than all parts of it? If so, what's the benefit of editing vs
just creating an entirely new ad?

Thanks,

Re: Expression Rule User List Error

2018-07-11 Thread danny+awtest
Hi Nadine!

As I explained before, I am creating custom intent in one part of code, and
created it successful. I am getting response with all info about custom
intent (id, name, desc etc.).
May be I need create Intent with AdGroupCriterion, not as separate logic?
But CriterionCustomAffinity has no method for setting CustomAffinity.

Real problem for me now is that you can not show me example for PHP. And
there is no example in examples folder in lib.

I thought about analogy of BiddableAdGroupCriterion, where when I create
Keyword I set it as criterion (Keyword extends Criterion) to
BiddableAdGroupCriterion.
But with custom intent CustomAffinity not extends Criterion, so can not be
set as criterion to AdGroupCriterion. I have CriterionCustomAffinity but
there is only one method - set intent id, so intent till this moment must
be created already.

Nadine, can you please contact to developers with my question. Because I am
situation, when I can not understand how to use new feature, and in whole
Internet is no examples how to do this. Way which I used with my own
intuition works not correct, as you see.

My problem is simple. *I created Custom Intent in account (I have all data
about intent from AdWords response). I have ad group id. I need connect
created intent and ad group.*

Thank you!

Hi Antonio,

Upon checking, it appears that the ad group you are trying to modify
belongs to a video campaign. Unfortunately, video campaigns and ad groups
associated to them are currently not supported in the AdWords API services
and are only accessible via the reports as stated here

This being said, any changes you wish to apply to those mentioned can only
be done via the AdWords UI.

I hope this helps.

How to activate a YouTube Ad Group via AdWords API?

2018-07-11 Thread antonio

Hello,

We're trying to activate an Ad Group using the AdWords API, but we're
getting the error:

MUTATE_ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CLIENT

Here's the code we're using:

from googleads import adwords
from googleads import oauth2

 oauth2_client = oauth2.GoogleRefreshTokenClient(
ADWORDS_API_CLIENT_ID, ADWORDS_API_CLIENT_SECRET,
refresh_token)
 adwords_client = adwords.AdWordsClient(
DEVELOPER_TOKEN, oauth2_client, 'decidata sync',
client_customer_id='485-950-4386')
 service = adwords_client.GetService('AdGroupService',version='v201802')
 operations = [{
'operator': 'SET',
'operand': {
'id': 65215191268,
'status': 'ENABLED'
}
}]
 service.mutate(operations)

Is there anything we can change to activate and pause YouTube Ad Groups ?

Thanks!

Will I meet the requirements for an API Developer Token?

2018-07-11 Thread Mans
Hi,

I run a marketing agency who wants to pull in Adwords data to our own
internal reporting and analytics dashboard. The main things we want to do
is:

   - Pull reports on ads managed by us (Performance, Search volumes for our
   keywords etc)
   - Pull TargetingIdeaService and TrafficEstimatorService data to analyse
   which keywords we should be considering to target

It will not exceed 1000 reports per day for sure.

That's pretty much it. We use Python to pull a bunch of different data
sources together for KPI reporting and for scoping out interesting keywords
and so the above is all we really need. But when looking at the RMF I get
confused if we are exempt or not from the RMF because we are going to use
it for (A) only internal use, and (B) the fact that we will only use the
basic access (which both seem exempt) but then there's (C) the mention on
the same page stating the below:

*"If an AdWords API Client provides any functionality related to
TargetingIdeaService or TrafficEstimatorService, it must fully implement
the required Creation Functionality, Management Functionality and Reporting
Functionality marked "Required" in the table below."*

All three elements which seem contradictory to me (as I don't know the
hierarchy of the statements) are found here:
*https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/requirements*

So basically my question is twofold:
1. Is my use case okay generally to be allowed access?
2. Will we be exempt from the RMF given the information I provided above or
will the RMF apply?

Would really appreciate any help because I don't want to apply and then
find out after two weeks that we cannot do what we intend unless we develop
ALL the required functionality in the RMF.

*Thanks a lot!*

*Mans*
