Google Ads API V2 - extension_feed_item does not return fields related to callouts and structured snippets

2020-01-24 Thread Akil
Hello,

The extension_feed_item

report does not return any fields relating to callout and structured
snippet ad extensions. I've attached example requests and responses - you
can see that even though I've
requested extension_feed_item.callout_feed_item.callout_text,
extension_feed_item.structured_snippet_feed_item.header
and extension_feed_item.structured_snippet_feed_item.values, the response
payloads don't even include the fields.

Is this a known issue? Is there any workaround for this?

Thanks,
Akil

Hi Iskander,

Thank you for reaching out. Please see the Python example here for more
information on importing offline conversions. As it shows, you should use the
xsi type "UploadConversion". However, the OfflineConversionFeedService isn't a

RE: .Net Lib GoogleAd API not working

2020-01-24 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hello Pravin,

With AdWords API, the Click Performance Report has the field CriteriaId and
CriteriaParameters that will return the criterion that triggered the impression
for each GclId (based on the single attribution model) and may be of any
criteria type, not just keywords. These fields are deprecated in Google Ads API
Beta, you might find the migration guide useful for AdWords equivalent in
Google Ads API Beta. You need to use the keyword_view resource to query all the
keyword related information along with the fields from attributed resource
which might be helpful to retrieve the criterion details
(ad_group_criterion.criterion_id, ad_group_criterion.keyword.text etc). There
are no other alternatives available to use the field click_view.gclid with the
keyword_view resource via API. Let us know if you have any further concerns.

Thank you for information.

I'm getting an error on invalid fieldmask. Not sure but I believe the issue
is in the fieldmask 'HeadlinePart1', How should this be represented?

Thanks for your help!

This is a very simplified version or testing only:
   // these are out but have real id's
long customerId = long.Parse("960");
long adgroupId = long.Parse("*49");
long adId = long.Parse("*2617");

AdGroupAd adwordAdtoUpdate = new AdGroupAd()
{
ResourceName = ResourceNames.AdGroupAd(customerId,
adgroupId, adId),
Ad = new Ad
{
ExpandedTextAd = new ExpandedTextAdInfo
{
HeadlinePart1 = "My First Headline1 Update"
}
}

};

FieldMask fieldMask = new FieldMask();
fieldMask.Paths.AddRange(new string[] { "HeadlinePart1" });

AdGroupAdOperation operation = new AdGroupAdOperation()
{
Update = adwordAdtoUpdate,
UpdateMask = fieldMask
};

MutateAdGroupAdsResponse response =
adGroupAdService.MutateAdGroupAds(
customerId.ToString(), new AdGroupAdOperation[] {

Get historical keyword search volume for a subset of given categories

2020-01-24 Thread Oscar Vidal
Hi,

I'm trying to get historical search volume for a set of keywords (these
keywords are independent of any existent campaign) which can be achieved by
using the service *targetingIdeaService* and setting RequestType.*STATS*
instead of RequestType.*IDEAS. *

The problem is that we want to get search volume for searches that are
related to the fashion/clothing industry only, but when getting volume for
keywords as patagonia (which a cloths brand but also a geographic region)
the keyword gets linked to these categories:

   - 10017 /Travel & Tourism
   - 10769 /Travel & Tourism/Accommodations/Hotels, Motels & Resorts
   - 10145 /Travel & Tourism/Tourist Attractions & Destinations
   - 10142 /Travel & Tourism/Accommodations
   - 12066 /Travel & Tourism/Accommodations/Hotels, Motels & Resorts/Resorts
   - 12073 /Travel & Tourism/Accommodations/Ski Accommodations/Ski Lodges &
   Resorts
   - 10773 /Travel & Tourism/Accommodations/Ski Accommodations
   - 12098 /Travel & Tourism/Tourist Attractions & Destinations/Winter
   Travel Destinations
   - 10917 /Apparel/Clothing/Outerwear
   - 10176 /Apparel/Clothing
   - 10021 /Apparel
   - 12238 /Apparel/Clothing/Sweatshirts & Hoodies

*BUT*, we only want volumes linked with categories 10917, 10176, 10021 and
12238 since these are the categories related to the industry that we are
working with, therefore only those searches are relevant for us.

*QUESTION*:

   - Is there a way to extract search volumes of a specific keyword but
   only considering searches linked to a subset of given categories?

Thanks,
Oscar

RE: Updating AdGroup Ads failed with ADGROUP_LIMIT error

2020-01-24 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Wenhui,

Thank you for reaching out. Can you please share the un-censored detailed logs
via reply privately to author so that I can further investigate the issue? The
ADGROUP_LIMIT error occurs when the call would exceed the number of resources
in an ad group. The limits can be found here.

Connecting with a specific clientCustomerId

2020-01-24 Thread Roberto
Hi, I'm using API to connect with api.properties that has data for MCC
account,
i want to create a session for a managed clientCustomerId to add campaigns
etc.
What call i should use without changing ads.properties,
where i put clientCustomerId into the:

   Credential oAuth2Credential = new OfflineCredentials.Builder()
  .forApi(Api.ADWORDS)

  .fromFile()

  .build()

  .generateCredential();

or is another metod to call?

thanks,
Roberto

AdGroup Age_Range Criterion

2020-01-24 Thread Pietro Galassi
Hi all,

we have created a new criterion using:

https://googleads.googleapis.com/v2/customers//adGroupCriteria:mutate
{
"operations": [{
"create": {
"ageRange": {
"type": "AGE_RANGE_18_24"
},
"adGroup": "customers//adGroups/YYY",
"status": "ENABLED",
"type": "AGE_RANGE",
"negative": false
}

}
]
}

that criterion is created sucessfully but when we check the google ads
console we see all the AGE_RANGE active!

Is this a bug ?
How we can set up ONLY one set of AGE_RANGE (example as we did ONLY 18_24) ?

Regards,
Pierpaolo

You are accessing an AdWords API version v201806 that has been discontinued

2020-01-24 Thread Bonge LaBwana
Hi all

I am using
https://github.com/googleads/googleads-php-lib/tree/master/examples/AdWords/LaravelSampleApp

for testing adwords api

Now I am getting the following error

[RequestError.UNSUPPORTED_VERSION @ ; trigger:'You are accessing an AdWords
API version v201806 that has been discontinued. Calls to this version may
fail. Please visit the AdWords API blog for information on migration to the
new AdWords API version.']

What do I need to do to solve the problem?

Thanks

xsi_type for bulk upload offline conversions

2020-01-24 Thread 'Iskander Taneev' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello!

I'm using Python API to write a script that compiles offline conversion at
runtime and utilises batch processing in order to upload them in bulk.
However, I'm facing difficulties regarding choosing a correct 'xsi_type'.
Could anyone give me an advice as to which one should I be using?
