Traffic Estimator vs Bid Landscape

2020-06-03 Thread Charlie Truong
Does the traffic estimator account for different max bid per click values
as well as the bid landscape service? I'm looking to optimize specific
locations, and I'm considering to feed different bid values to get
different estimates for activity.

I know that's generally what the bid landscape service provides, but it
doesn't support location specific results. Is using the traffic estimator
in this manner ok or does it not really care about different bid values and
mainly is used for keyword planning?

Re: Questions on Performance Reports

2020-06-03 Thread Digital Ascent
Hello Anthony,
Thank you for your response. I have below follow on questions.

1) I am kind of positive on the resources now. However, I am unable to find
the equivalent Google Ads Resource for "CRITERIA_PERFORMANCE_REPORT". Is
this same as "KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT"?

2) How do i validate the extracted data with Google Ads UI? Is there any
documentation / URL to compare the data pulled through API with UI?

Thanks in advance!

How to add multiple keywords to a keyword plan within a single API call?

2020-06-03 Thread Zhen Guo
Hi,

I am new to Google Ads API. I know there should be a way to add multiple
keywords to a keyword plan within a single API call. I have about 2000
keywords so I don't want to waste my daily operations on just adding them
to the plan. I read through the batch processing, but none of the
MutateOperations

seem
to have keyword related features. Which specific API operations should I
call to add multiple keywords to a keyword plan? If it can't be done within
one call, what particular method I should use to combine or reduce calls?

Thank you.

Can you provide some additional information on the DMPs? Are these through

Hi,

You can use the targeting idea services in API which is similar to the Keyword

Hi Dongqi,

No, there are no other APIs that support this ad type. However, there are no
immediate plans to sunset AdWords API. It will be at least a year after Google

OR clause in Query language grammar?

2020-06-03 Thread Noud Adrichem
I'm unable to find the OR clause in the query language. Is this with
reason?
I need an OR clause in my report fetching for specific IDs So it's going to
be

WHERE id = 1 OR id = 2 etc. But I'm unable to find the OR clause in the
grammar on this page :
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/query/grammar

I also tried || and |.

TargetingIdeaService does not return results for certain keywords

2020-06-03 Thread Parijat Ghoshal
I'm using the *GoogleAds API* with the *Python* library.

My goal is to get 'SEARCH_VOLUME', 'TARGETED_MONTHLY_SEARCHES' for a given
keyword.
However, when I'm using the GoogleAds API ( see code below) I'm not getting
results for certain keywords.
E.g. if I search for 'virus' I get:
{
'totalNumEntries': 0,
'entries': []
}

but searching for 'germ' gives back results.

*Access level:* I'm using AdWords API token that has been approved for
Basic Access.

My code:

from googleads import adwords

adwords_client = adwords.AdWordsClient.LoadFromStorage('googleads.yml')

targeting_idea_service = adwords_client.GetService('TargetingIdeaService',
version='v201809')
selector = {
 'ideaType': 'KEYWORD',
 'requestType': 'IDEAS'
}
selector['requestedAttributeTypes'] = [
 'KEYWORD_TEXT', 'SEARCH_VOLUME', 'TARGETED_MONTHLY_SEARCHES']

offset = 0
PAGE_SIZE = 1
selector['paging'] = {
 'startIndex': str(offset),
 'numberResults': str(PAGE_SIZE)
}

selector['searchParameters'] = [{
 'xsi_type': 'RelatedToQuerySearchParameter',
 'queries': [ 'virus']
}]

page = targeting_idea_service.get(selector)

print(page)

ConversionTrackerId display name for "Creative Conversion Report"

2020-06-03 Thread 'Dmitry Kozyrev' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi!

I found a possible misnaming in the "Creative Conversion Report" (= "Free
clicks" in the UI). When the "ConversionTrackerId" column is included in
the report it has the "Conversion Tracker Id" display name (in the first
row of CSV report) instead of "Free click type" as described in the docs

.

Other columns with similar names look fine:
"CreativeConversionRate" -> "Free click rate"
"CreativeConversions" -> "Free clicks"

curl --http1.1 \
--header "Authorization : Bearer {AuthorizationToken}" \
--header "developerToken : {DeveloperToken}" \
--header "includeZeroImpressions: false" \
--header "clientCustomerId : {CustomerId}" \
--data "__rdquery=SELECT Date, ConversionTrackerId,
CreativeConversionRate, CreativeConversions FROM CREATIVE_CONVERSION_REPORT
DURING 20200602,20200602&__fmt=CSV"
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/reportdownload/v201809

results in:

"CREATIVE_CONVERSION_REPORT (Jun 2, 2020)"
Day,*Conversion Tracker Id*,Free click rate,Free clicks

Meanwhile it is *"Free click type"* that is returned by
ReportDefinitionServiceInterface.getReportFields as a display name of the
"ConversionTrackerId" column.

Report gives different results from Adwords API -> Google Ads API

2020-06-03 Thread Noud Adrichem
I'm fetching report for specific ad Ids. But when I fetch from the adwords
API (current situation in production) I get different result in terms of ad
reports than I'm getting on the new Google Ads API.
I used the migration page to migrate my query from AWQL to GAQL :
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/migration/reports but I'm
unable to get it to work.

My AWQL quer is:
SELECT
Id,
Headline,
AdGroupName,
AdGroupId,
CampaignId,
AdGroupId,
Impressions,
Cost,
Date,
DayOfWeek,
Clicks,
Ctr,
Conversions,
CostPerConversion
FROM AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
WHERE AdGroupStatus IN [ENABLED]
AND Id IN [425030385055,425030242723,424967919984,425068875116]
DURING 20200301,20200331

My GAQL query is:
SELECT
customer.id,
customer.descriptive_name,
customer.currency_code,
campaign.id,
campaign.name,
ad_group.id,
ad_group.name,
ad_group.status,
ad_group_ad.ad.id,
ad_group_ad.ad.name,
ad_group_ad.ad.final_urls,
ad_group_ad.ad.text_ad.headline,
segments.date,
segments.day_of_week,
metrics.impressions,
metrics.ctr,
metrics.clicks,
metrics.conversions,
metrics.cost_per_conversion
FROM ad_group_ad
WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '20200301' AND '20200331'
AND ad_group_ad.status = 'ENABLED'
AND ad_group_ad.ad.id = '425030385055' AND ad_group_ad.ad.id =
'425030242723' AND ad_group_ad.ad.id = '424967919984' AND ad_group_ad.ad.id
= '425068875116'

The Adwords Query DOES return reports where the Google Ads Query does NOT
return report for these Ids.
When removing the ad Ids it does return reports in this format:

{
"customer": {
"resourceName": "customers/12345678",
"id": "12345678",
"descriptiveName": "-",
"currencyCode": "EUR"
},
"campaign": {
"resourceName": "customers/12345678/campaigns/9589685408",
"id": "9589685408",
"name": "Test Optimize Campaign II"
},
"adGroup": {
"resourceName": "customers/12345678/adGroups/100868095818",
"id": "100868095818",
"name": "Ad group 2",
"status": "ENABLED"
},
"metrics": {
"clicks": "5",
"conversions": 0,
"ctr": 0.00181422351233672,
"impressions": "2756"
},
"adGroupAd": {
"resourceName":
"customers/12345678/adGroupAds/100868095818~427121490686",
"ad": {
"id": "427121490686",
"finalUrls": [
"https://test.nl;
],
"name": "---",
"resourceName": "customers/12345678/ads/427121490686"
}
},
"segments": {
"date": "2020-03-26",
"dayOfWeek": "THURSDAY"
}
},

in the adgroupad ad id it doesn't fetch any reports for those Ad Ids AT
all..

This is very weird and I would like to know why or what I'm doing wrong. :D

Error: received trailing metadata size exceeds limit

2020-06-03 Thread Afsane Ghafouri

Hello there,

we are calling bulk operation and hitting this error

Error: 8 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED: received trailing metadata size exceeds limit

we are confused about what is the cause of this error. we are able to send
the same payload and sometimes it is successful and sometimes it hits this
error

Is this error due to some kind of time-based quate?

Re: Does GoogleAds API support fetching SHOWCASE_AD

2020-06-03 Thread Dongqi Wang
Thank you Mitchell.

One more question please. After the AdWords API sunset, is there any other
kind of API that can be used to manage/fetch/create showcase ad?

Best,
Dongqi
