RE: AgeRangeView, GenderView, etc. Report Segmentation on Campaign Level - Google Ads API v6

2020-11-19 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Jake,

Thank you for reaching out.

Each Google Ads API report should have a set of Attributed resources that you
can include in your select queries. If the resource you are looking for is not
included in those, then you would not be able to use them in the said report.

You may note as well that the campaign_criterion resource is not included in
both the age_range_view and gender_view's Attributed resources sections in
their respective documentation.

However, so I can have a better look at the report you are trying to generate,
could you provide your customer ID and the complete query? You may send the
requested details using the Reply privately to author option.

RE: Change Status service does not return resource_status

Hi Roman,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please note that I had to delete your initial post and re-post it below as it
contained your account information. You may avoid exposing your account's IDs
in order to ensure confidentiality.

Hi,
I use Google Ads(v5) Change Status service to keep track of which resources
have changed within an account over a given time period.

This is the query I use:

In documentation is mentioned that resource_status on a given resource will be
one of ADDED, CHANGED, or REMOVED, but this field is not returned for some
campaigns.

For example for account X,
campaign X resource_status was not returned.

So, I want to know in which cases and why it is not returning?

Also, so our team can better investigate, could you also provide once more the
complete query with the actual dates, and the complete request and response
logs along with the request ID of your Google Ads API request?

You may send the requested details using the Reply privately to author option.

The caller does not have permission with basic access

2020-11-19 Thread Gian Snow
I've got the permission error as below with ListAccessibleCustomers
function of Google Ads API with a developer token which has basic access
level.

error message: The caller does not have permission

Calling ListAccessibleCustomers function with another developer token which
has only test account access level always succeed.
I thought that a google cloud project for the developer token with basic
access level might be paired to the another developer token with test
access level.
Therefore, I've created a new google cloud project and tried to call
ListAccessibleCustomers.
But, still get the permission error.

Am I missing some steps to be able to use developer token with basic access?

An OAuth consent screen for basic access hasn't verified yet.
OAuth scopes for basic access are the same as test access.
And I still try to access with localhost.
(I've been trying the above with go library)

Re: How could I set bidding strategy to TARGET_SPEND

2020-11-19 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Rukeith,

Thank you for reaching out. In order to set the TARGET_SPEND bidding strategy
to a campaign you need to create the bidding strategy first and then set the
bidding_strategy_id to campaign.bidding_strategy. Please refer to this sample
code on how to implement it.

Retrieving Keyword Stats

2020-11-19 Thread deberly
Hello,

We have been gathering historical keyword statistics through the
TargetingIdeaService in the AdWords API, but one limitation is that we
cannot break this data down by platform (i.e Mobile/Desktop/Tablet).

Is there any way to gather keyword statistics by platform through either
the Google Ads or AdWords API?

The service that I have found that is closest to what we are looking for is
the TrafficEstimatorService, which does give a breakdown by
Desktop/Mobile/Tablet. However, the results from this service are a
forecast, not historical statistics, and it is not quite sufficient for the
data we are trying to gather.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. On the campaign resource page there is a question
asking whether the campaign is specified in the FROM clause of your query, if
you select “Yes, it is” then segments.geo_target_country would be gone which
means this segment is incompatible with the resource in the FROM clause.

AgeRangeView, GenderView, etc. Campaign Level Reports - Google Ads API v6

2020-11-19 Thread Jake Nieto
Hi,

I am currently trying to generate reports that segment the metrics data on
variables like age, gender, income, etc., but on the *campaign *level (i.e.
reports that are akin to the *GENDER_PERFORMANCE_REPORT*,
*AGE_RANGE_PERFORMANCE_REPORT*, etc in the Adwords API).

As of right now, I am able to generate reports that segment the data on the
*ad_group
*level by selecting the *ad_group_criterion*.<*variable*>.*type*. I tried
selecting the *campaign_criterion*.<*variable*>.*type *field but this gave
me this error:

 error_code {
query_error: PROHIBITED_RESOURCE_TYPE_IN_SELECT_CLAUSE
  }
message: "Cannot select fields from the following resource:
\'CAMPAIGN_CRITERION\', since the resource is incompatible with the
resource in FROM clause."

After reading the docs more closely I see that it says, "These fields
[campaign_criterion] *will not segment* metrics in your SELECT clause."

Will I have to aggregate the data on the *ad_group *level to get the
reports for the *campaign *level, or is there a way to leverage the Google
Ads API differently to get the data on the *campaign *level?

Thanks,
Jake

Google Adword API - Not getting data for some of the Keywords.

2020-11-19 Thread Neetu Varshney
Hello Team,

As I am using google Adword APIs from here
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/samples/php/optimization#get-keywords-related-to-a-seed-keyword,

It is giving data for many of the "keywords like Paytm, apple, iPhone,
amazon" etc.
But It is not giving data for some of the keywords like - "Covid 19, Trump,
Biden, etc"

So I am not finding anything, please suggest to me how can I get data for
all the keywords.

Thanks,
Neetu Varshney

Re: Change Status service does not return resource_status

2020-11-19 Thread 'Roman Kravtsiv' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

This is the query I use:
SELECT
change_status.resource_name,
change_status.last_change_date_time,
change_status.resource_type,
change_status.resource_status,
change_status.campaign,
FROM
change_status
WHERE
change_status.last_change_date_time
BETWEEN
{from_date:'%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S.%f'} AND {to_date:'%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S.%f'}
AND
change_status.resource_type = CAMPAIGN

Re: Querying aggregated metrics for custom intervals

2020-11-19 Thread Антон Бендриков
Hello,

thank you for the answer! Ah so this looks to me like I can effectively do
`SELECT segments.date` to achieve the `GROUP BY` functionality I want.

Will test later and post if this helped.

RE: How to get removed audiences using google ads api

2020-11-19 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

Thanks for posting your concern.

You can use UserListService.GetUserList request as one of the fields that will
be returned by this method is account_user_list_status, which specify the
status of audience list, especially if it is 'DISABLED'.

Additionally to the current report that you are using, you may explicitly
filter it with user_list.account_user_list_status = DISABLED.

In an event that either of the said suggestions will not return disabled
audience list, then please provide the customer ID and complete request and
response logs with request ID to investigate? You can provide it via Reply
privately to author option.

Regards,

Is it possible ? If it is, then using "*CustomAffinityInfo and* *custom
interest*" or "*UserInterestInfo and UserInterest*" is correct way to
achieve it ?
