Re: API Recommendations Don't Match Ads Console

2020-11-27 Thread Scott Vaillancourt
The console I'm referring to is the account-specific Overview page at
ads.google.com, not the reporting UI. Specifically, the recommendations
cards don't match what I'm able to retrieve via the API.

PERMISSION_DENIED

2020-11-27 Thread Паша Карпинский
Hello Team,

I'm trying to retrive list of accounts (hierarhy of customers) from google

"message": "The caller does not have permission",

{
"@type": "request-id",
"data": "s8s0RCFzVEtXONYgQQd8Cw"
}
]

I went through auth process under Manager account and receive access token.
This account has many accounts.
When I call listAccessibleCustomers

 it
returns ID of current manager account for what I received access token.
When I call getCustomer

to receive info about customer with ID that received from
listAccessibleCustomers

 it
returns error above.

Please advice

Thank you

Test Accounts Cancelled

2020-11-27 Thread Dorian Kind
Hi,

we have a Google Ads test manager acccount containing a couple of test
accounts that we use for integration testing. Around two weeks ago, all of
those accounts were cancelled, seemingly without any notice being sent to
the account admin.
What's more, in contrast to regular Ads accounts that can be reactivated if
they are cancelled for lack of spend, this doesn't appear to be an option
in this case.
Is there anything we can do to un-suspend these accounts? Or at least
understand why they were cancelled in the first place?

Thanks & Cheers

Replicating the "Placement" field

2020-11-27 Thread the...@funnel.io
Hi,
We're working on trying to replicate the "Placements" view with the Google
Ads API. We've noticed that the dimension "Placement" in the UI seems to be
split among several different dimensions in the API.

• What is the complete list of dimensions we need to bring in from the API
to cover all possible "Placement" values?

• Is there a way to get placement by youtube channel names? The only values
for Youtube channel placements we've gotten was from
"ad_group_criterion.youtube_channel.channel_id".

2020-11-27 Thread Tim Relton
Hello,

Thanks for the reply. Sadly this happens 100% of the time.

>From a terminal window on cPanel

$ cd google-ads-php
google-ads-php]$ php examples/BasicOperations/GetCampaigns.php --customerId
987-654-3210

also

google-ads-php]$ php examples/BasicOperations/GetCampaigns.php --customerId
9876543210

gives me the same output api.log as sent (obviously with IDs changed).

For some reason I can't send a private reply. Can you fix this so I can
send over logs and Manager / Client IDs, keys etc?

Link between Developer Token and OAuth2

2020-11-27 Thread Thomas Leclaire
Hello!

I'm currently reviewing some permissions in my company and I don't
understand how the ads api was configured.
In particular i'm trying to understand where is defined the link between
oauth2 and the developer token. Is there some mapping only visible on
Google side?

In my case, the oauth identification is defined on a standard google
project owned by an user who has no link with the MCC, therefore I don't
understand how it can work.

Moreover, my developer token is created on one MCC. but with the api we act
on another MCC (which is not a child of the first one). How is it possible?

Everything works today but it's pretty obscure why.

thanks for any explanation!
Thomas

RE: Getting users to authenticate

2020-11-27 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your email and also to Alon for your input.

To answer Jonathan's concerns, you may refer below :

1. Do we only need to create a single developer token for multiple
users/accounts?

A developer token can be shared internally. However, if multiple users will be
utilizing the token, you may need to take note of the quotas and limits
regarding usage as discussed in our rate sheet and rate limits guide.

2. And do we have to be the manager account for the user's account in order to
read their Ads data via or is there a alternative way to ask their permission
without being the manager account?

We only need to read the data, we don't need to manage their ads.

So ideally we'd like to be able to ask the user to grant us read access to
their Google Ads data using an auth flow but not requiring them to let us be
managers of their account.

Being a MCC level user is not required if you would only be making read
requests on specific accounts. What you will need to do, is add a user/email
address into those Google Ads accounts you will be generating reports for. Then
you will need to generate your own set of OAuth2 credentials. User access
levels can also be managed as discussed in this article. The access level
granted for those users should also be the level of access you can be permitted
for your API requests.

However, developer token usage can also be modified as discussed here.

I hope this helps. If you have additional clarifications, please let me know.

Best regards,

Peter Laurence Napa Oliquino

Re: Get data table of a shopping campaign

2020-11-27 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Gloria,

Thank you for your follow up.

Based in the screenshots you attached, it appears that the first one (Grupos de
anuncios) is showing the Ad Group view in the UI. That said, you may refer
below for the possible fields to use from the ad_group view of the API :

Tipo (Type) - ad_group.type
Presupuesto (Budget) - Since budgets are assigned at the campaign level, you
can try to retrieve this through the campaign resource's
campaign.campaign_budget field.
Nivel de optimizacion (Optimization level) - This does not appear to be
supported in the API's fields.
Cpc Max predeterminado (Default Max CPC) - You may try and retrieve this using
the ad_group.cpc_bid_micros field.
Coste (Cost) - metrics.cost_micros
Tasa de conversion (Conversion rate) - Could you confirm if the translation is
correct? I asked because what is available in the AdWords API is the
AllConversionRate field and the equivalent of this field in the Google Ads API
is the metrics.all_conversions_from_interactions_rate field.

As for the second screenshot, the Grupos de productos or the Product groups
view :

Tipo (Type) - This is not supported in the product_group_view. This maybe
referring to the ad_group.type field
CPC Max - you can try and retrieve this from the ad_group resource
ad_group.cpc_bid_micros field
CPC Max de referencia (Reference CPC Max) - Can you also confirm if the
translation is correct? It appears that this field is not supported.

I also noticed two other red boxes, however, they are grayed out. Could you
confirm if you are also seeking assistance with those as well?

Moving forward, you may refer to our metrics, segments, resources with metrics
and resources without metrics guides (via this link) to know which fields are
available in the Google Ads API's reports.

Thanks for posting your concern.

The INTERNAL_ERROR usually occurs when something unexpected happened while

However, if this error is occurring frequently, then please provide the

Re: calculation of (absolute_)top_impression_percentage

2020-11-27 Thread fru...@adzlocal.de

thanks a lot for your response!

The report with segmentation on network (web interface/mcc) shows the
impressions belong to a single type of network only (search network).
And i get the same result via api request (segmented by
segments.ad_network_type, ads api v4) - only one network type.
So i don't think impressions on different networks are the reason for the
different values, unfortunately.. was a promising approach.
But you're right, e.g. 7 impressions with 50% of them as absolute top (and
50% top impressions) looks suspicious to me.
3.5 impressions (non-integer) is not what i would expect here.

btw. that is my awql-query:

SELECT
ad_group.id,
metrics.impressions,
metrics.absolute_top_impression_percentage,
segments.ad_network_type,
segments.date
FROM ad_group
WHERE ad_group.id IN ()
AND segments.date BETWEEN '2020-11-12' AND '2020-11-25'

The values with segments.date match the values for impressions and
absolute_top_impression_percentage in my spreadsheet.
Without segmentation by date i get 108 impressions in total, but the total
absolute_top_impression_percentage value doesn't match the calculated one..
