and none of those calls show in this report. Is there some other report
that should include the call extension data for Performance Max campaigns?

Internal Error when creating smart campaign setting

2024-01-22 Thread Jimmy Li
Hello,

I'm working on creating a smart campaign in golang using the protobuf
definitions + grpc from https://github.com/shenzhencenter/google-ads-pb

I'm receiving an internal error in the grpc response which from a bit of
research seems like an unexpected response. I'm working on a test account
and this has been occurring even after waiting for a little bit as
suggested in other threads. I can provide the request ID as well as the
request we are making, would you be able to provide more context about the
error?

For details about what I am attempting to do, in separate requests to the
API we are creating a smart campaign then after it is created, attempting
to create a smart campaign setting immediately after.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Getting Reporting Metrics on Location Assets

2024-01-22 Thread Robert P.
Hi there,

I am hoping someone can help tell which resource to query to get
impressions/clicks metrics segmented on date for a campaign for a Location
Asset.

I have been trying the campaign_asset report but I am not getting results
back, but I see in the in the Google Ads interface (Asset page filtered on
Location Assets) that there are clicks and impressions for Location Assets?

I have also tried the customer_asset and no luck either.

I used to be able to pull the metrics via the extension_feed_item report
before the migration of locations to assets like this.

SELECT
 segments.date,
 campaign.id,
 campaign.name,
 campaign.status,
 campaign.advertising_channel_type,
 metrics.clicks,
 metrics.cost_micros,
 metrics.impressions,
 metrics.conversions,
 metrics.average_cpc,
 metrics.all_conversions,
 extension_feed_item.id,
 extension_feed_item.extension_type,
 extension_feed_item.location_feed_item.address_line_1,
 extension_feed_item.location_feed_item.address_line_2,
 extension_feed_item.location_feed_item.business_name,
 extension_feed_item.location_feed_item.city,
 extension_feed_item.location_feed_item.country_code,
 extension_feed_item.location_feed_item.phone_number,
 extension_feed_item.location_feed_item.postal_code,
 extension_feed_item.location_feed_item.province,
 FROM extension_feed_item
 WHERE campaign.id = %PLACEHOLDER%
 AND segments.date DURING YESTERDAY

I have tried using campaign_asset report filtered on the asset.type of
LOCATION but no luck..

SELECT
  segments.date,
  campaign.id,
  campaign.name,
  campaign.resource_name,
  campaign.serving_status,
  campaign_asset.asset,
  campaign_asset.field_type,
  campaign_asset.status,
  campaign_asset.resource_name,
  campaign_asset.primary_status,
  metrics.clicks,
  metrics.impressions,
  asset.id,
  asset.type,
  asset.location_asset.location_ownership_type,
  asset.location_asset.business_profile_locations,
  asset.location_asset.place_id
FROM campaign_asset
WHERE
  customer.id = %PLACEHOLDER%
AND
  asset.type = 'LOCATION'
AND
  segments.date DURING YESTERDAY

Also how do I get the address details of the location asset?

I can see the location asset with this query, but not the location's full
address :

SELECT
  asset.name,
  asset.id,
  asset.resource_name,
  asset.type,
  asset.source,
  asset.location_asset.place_id,
  asset.location_asset.location_ownership_type,
  asset.location_asset.business_profile_locations
FROM asset
WHERE
customer.id = %PLACEHOLDER%
AND asset.type = 'LOCATION'

Any help would be great and appreciated.
Thanks Robert.

Re: get all products in a campaign

2024-01-22 Thread Siebert Looije
Hi Ben Karl,

Thanks for coming back to me.
I want to programmatically obtain the list of products which are currently
(as in now) being used in the PMax/shopping campaigns. I don't need to have
any metrics linked to it, but I only want to have the product information
from the products which are currently/now in the Pmax/shopping campaigns.

For me it is very important that it I don't receive the products that were
first in the campaigns and then being removed as well. So I want to capture
if persons are switching products within the pmax/shopping campaigns.
Hopefully this makes sense to you?

Furthermore I also want to have the products which are in campaign
regardless if they have an impression/click, so even if they don't have any
clicks but still active in the campaign, I would like to have them.

Hopefully this is clear.

Kind regards,

Siebert

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

After reviewing your concern, I understand that you are not able to see the
posted 'Ad' in your account(actual account). As per the provided
customerClientLinks:mutate response, it is confirmed that the account is
linked. To investigate the issue further, could you please clarify what you
mean by client account and actual account? And CID of these accounts. Provide
us with uncropped screenshots of both accounts, where you are able to see
posted ads in the client account under the manager account and not able to see
the same in the actual account.

Re: Waiting on Basic Access permissions request

2024-01-22 Thread 'Ryan Bell' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Following up on this. The first time I submitted a request for Basic Access
was in October. Since then I've tried submitting twice more and have tried
contacting the API team in several ways - through our ad rep, through the
Google Ads API Forum, and through this email. I don't understand what's
happening to make this such a drawn-out process, so please let me know what
I can do to help. It is very necessary for our business processes that we
have access to our company ads performance. We're not requesting data or
access to any other companies, we simply want to ingest our daily
ads/campaigns performance.
Thanks,
Ryan

STILL WAITING ON BASIC ACCESS DEVELOPER TOKEN

2024-01-22 Thread 'Ryan Bell' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,
My team has been trying to apply for basic access level for our developer
token since October. In that time we have submitted the application three
times, posted on this forum, and gone through the process of setting up
data ingestion for Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads, and Bing Ads. All we're
looking to do is ingest our own company's ad performance data, nothing more
complicated than that. I don't understand why this has been such a
difficult process and why we've gotten no response in three months of
work...
Please let me know how I can speed up this process. Since I know this will
be asked, there is no case ID/number associated with this process. We've
been asked before but we never get a case ID when we submit the
application. Please advise.
Thanks,
Ryan @FIXD

Listing Group

2024-01-22 Thread Darren Shirley
Hi,

I am trying to get this from the api

[image: listing group.png]

The current query i am using :

SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name, segments.date, asset_group.name,
asset_group.ad_strength, asset_group.status,
asset_group_listing_group_filter.type, metrics.clicks, metrics.cost_micros,
metrics.impressions, metrics.conversions, metrics.conversions_value FROM
asset_group_product_group_view WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '2023-01-01' AND
'2023-12-31' AND asset_group_listing_group_filter.type != 'SUBDIVISION'

But i only recieve the data that matches this:

[image: listing group 2.png]

So i am missing this data:

[image: listing group 3.png]

How should i modify the query to recieve just the top level of data?

Thanks,

Darren

Re: trying to generate a conversion throw user_permission_denied error

2024-01-22 Thread Isa
Hi, Yes It is a developer with low privileges, but even so, I can still
create the conversion, the thing is that when I try for second time, the
API throw that error and I can not continue testing in the next minutes.

This same scenario is happening in our production environment.
But I will open a new issue with the captures of the errors for (I think)
the same reason that still happen in low environments.

I appreciate your time.

Regards.

RE: compaign error

2024-01-22 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

To provide insights, RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND error are one of the common mutate
errors. The common cause is when the request attempts to mutate or otherwise
reference a resource that does not exist or has been removed. Or, the given
resource name for the resource is malformed. To handle this, use a search
request to retrieve the resource name for an existing resource before
submitting a mutate request. Review our client library guides, which include
documentation on how to construct valid resource names in every supported
language. To help you address this issue, don't create resource names manually.
Use one of the helper methods offered by our client libraries.

I hope this helps.

Unable to link the client under my manager account

2024-01-22 Thread Elumalai Eswar Prasad
Hi Google Ads Support.

Basically I am building a ads-management website where I am having a
manager account having ID : 1534919382 and having a developer token with
test access.

I made a Google Cloud Platform with https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords
scope, So when a customer sign-in using their accounts, I am extracting the
ad-accounts using their access token using
*customers:listAccessibleCustomers.*

when they select one I am creating a client under my manager account using*
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v15/customers/${LOGIN_CUSTOMER_ID}:createCustomerClient

*and it is returning a resource name with customerId under my account.

Now I am creating a campaign, adGroup, Responsive searchad details using
*https://googleads.googleapis.com/v15/customers/${customerId}/googleAds:mutate
*and adding keywords to adGroup using
*
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v15/customers/${customerId}/adGroupCriteria:mutate.*

It is posting the ad and is reflecting when i open and see under client
account that got created under my manager account, But i want that posted
ad copy to be published to their actual ads account.

I checked the groups for any previous discussions then i found like i need
to create a *customers.customerClientLinks.mutate.*

*Below is the request :*

POST
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v15/customers/2176562982/customerClientLinks:mutate

HTTP/1.1

developer-token: **
login-customer-id: 1534919382
Authorization: Bearer [YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN]
Accept: application/json
Content-Type: application/json

{
  "operation": {
"create": {
  "clientCustomer": "customers/2176562982"
}
  }
}

*Below is the response i got :*

{
  "error": {
"code": 403,
"message": "The caller does not have permission",
"status": "PERMISSION_DENIED",
"details": [

If it is connected why ads that are posted not getting reflected in the
actual customers account. Please rectify this.

Can't Set parentalStatus to AdGroupCriterion

2024-01-22 Thread Shawn Hsiao
Hello,

When I was setting *parentalStatus* of *AdGroupCriterion*, I encountered an
error `*OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CONTEXT*`

   - *Complete Error messages are as follows:*

```
*debug_error_string = "UNKNOWN:Error received from peer
ipv4:142.251.42.234:443 {created_time:"2024-01-22T16:43:42.946377+08:00",
allowed for the given context."  trigger {string_value:
"SEARCH(SEARCH_STANDARD)"  }  location {field_path_elements {
field_name: "operations"  index: 0}field_path_elements {
field_name: "create"}field_path_elements {  field_name:
"parental_status"}  }}request_id: "FzSWqMhAFGEUOZiZiRc0VA",
'FzSWqMhAFGEUOZiZiRc0VA')*
```

   - *My code was below:*

```
def main(client, customer_id, ad_group_id):
ad_group_service = client.get_service("AdGroupService")
ad_group_criterion_service =
client.get_service("AdGroupCriterionService")
ad_group_resource_name = ad_group_service.ad_group_path(customer_id,
ad_group_id)
# Exclude Parent
parent_operation = client.get_type("AdGroupCriterionOperation")
parent_criterion = parent_operation.create
parent_criterion.ad_group = ad_group_resource_name
parent_criterion.negative = True
parent_criterion.parental_status.type_ =
client.enums.ParentalStatusTypeEnum.PARENT
ad_group_criterion_response =
ad_group_criterion_service.mutate_ad_group_criteria(
customer_id=customer_id,
operations=[
parent_operation
],
)
for result in ad_group_criterion_response.results:
print(f"Created criterion {result.resource_name}.")
if __name__ == "__main__":
client = get_client()
CUSTOMER_ID = "5692452448"
ad_group_id = "163236537532"
main(client, CUSTOMER_ID, ad_group_id)
```

I had successfully modified criterion with income_range, gender, and age,
but `parentalStatus` was not the case. Please assist with how to correct
the error, thanks in advance.

Re: v15 consent - consentstatus unspecified

2024-01-22 Thread Max Soller
Thank you for the response!

To further clarify. Setting consent for "ad_user_data" and
"ad_ personalization to "UNSPECIFIED " for EEA user's at this moment makes
the data unaccessible for ad personalization? Or does it first apply after
6th of March?

Is there a value that can be used for the interim period until the consent
is enforced, i.e. a value that essentially is equivalent to not passing
consent in the request body?

Thanks,
