Basic Google Ads API Access Approval

2024-03-14 Thread Nick W
Hi Team,

We applied for basic API access a few weeks ago but haven't heard anything
back. The Ads Customer Support redirected me here.

MCC ID:
- 458-156-3519

Case ID's:
- 2-867635538
- 4-224035674

Could you please escalate this one so that we can have this approved, as it
is critical for us to move forwards with the project?

Best Regards,

Nick

RE: new rate limit?

2024-03-14 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

After reviewing your concern, I understand that you are facing a rate limit
warning while using Google Ads API. I would recommend you refer to this Rate
Limits guide for more information related to your concern.

In order to assist you further, could you provide us with more context of your
concern? Also provide us the error message along with the complete API logs
(request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging
via the curl command by using the -i flag.

Re: cannot pull auction_insight_search_impression_share metric

2024-03-14 Thread Aaron Weiner
We are now on Version 16 of the API.

Is there any news on this issue or will we still not be able to grab this
data?
metrics.auction_insight_search_absolute_top_impression_percentage,
metrics.auction_insight_search_impression_share,
metrics.auction_insight_search_outranking_share,
metrics.auction_insight_search_overlap_rate,
metrics.auction_insight_search_position_above_rate,
metrics.auction_insight_search_top_impression_percentage

If we cannot use this, why have it in the documentation?

Thanks and I look forward to your reply.

Update Availability Status for Asset

2024-03-14 Thread Jairo Fuentes
Hi, I'm trying to update the availability status for some assets (Callout,
Sitelinks and Structured Snippets) specifically, using the Google Ads API.
Unfortunately, after reviewing the documentation I'm not able to see how to
achieve that.
Here is the Link

to the Callout documentation, I don't see any setStatus option as in The Ad
Group doc

Is it possible to perform that action through the API?
If so, could you guide or refer me to the proper documentation?

Thanks

Re: refresh token expiration time

Hello,

Thank you for the answer.
Does that mean that I will always have to do this step?
  2. The oauth2l command opens a Google Account login window in a new
browser window and takes you through the OAuth 2.0 authentication steps.
If yes, is there another way to implement this using .Net?

New Rate Limit?

2024-03-14 Thread Jon
Hello,

We've suddenly begun experiencing what appears to be a rate limit warning
via the Google Ads Rest API.

Is there a number you can share with respect to the rate exhausted limit?
When does this happen?

RE: unable to access api center

2024-03-14 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

After reviewing your concern, I understand that you are unable to access the
API center in your Google Ads account.

Kindly note that the API Center option appears only for Google Ads manager
accounts. Also, note that only the production manager account has the API
center. If it's a test account, then please be informed that test accounts are
closed by default since they're not allowed to run ads or set up billing
information. If you don't have a manager account, you can follow the Help
Center instructions to create one. Now, sign in to your manager account and
navigate to TOOLS & SETTINGS > SETUP > API Center.

If you are signed in with your Google Ads manager account and yet you still
can't see the API center in the Google Ads UI, then I would recommend you reach
out to the Google Ads Product support team as they are better equipped to
address your concern. Please note that we can only assist with issues/concerns
related to the Google Ads API.

This message is in relation to case "ref:!00D1U01174p.!5004Q02rzy9k:ref"

Thanks,

Google Ads API Team

nothing shows up for me. When I attempt to manage the mangers I don't see a

RE: refresh token expiration time

2024-03-14 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Google Ads API support team.

By reviewing your concern, I understand that you would like to know the
expiration time for a refresh token in production. I would like to inform you
that the refresh token expires every 7 days when your Google project's
publishing status is Testing. Kindly refer to the document Refresh token
expiration to get more information.

Please note that if you want to avoid the refresh token expiring in 7 days, go
to the Google API Console and navigate to the OAuth consent screen and then
change the publishing status to “In production”. If its publishing status is in
"In production" already, this means that you have already applied this Setting
up your OAuth consent screen instruction to that account that makes the life of
the refresh token longer.

Also, kindly note that once the refresh token is expired, you need to generate
a new refresh token by following the steps providedd in the document Fetch a
refresh token.

Thanks,

Google Ads API Team

Refresh token expiration time

2024-03-14 Thread Cristian Andrei Grigore
My use-case is a no GUI script that fetches data from the Google Ads API.

I understand that one of the steps is to Fetch a refresh token

.

What is the expiration time for the refresh token in production? How many
times do I need to follow the steps from Fetch a refresh token?
