How to learn Google Ads API starting from Google Ads Scripts

2023-07-18 Thread Alberto Esteves Correia
Hello,

I want to learn how to use the new functionality of Google Ads scripts
AdsApp.mutate.

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/scripts/docs/features/mutate?hl=en

However, to know how to use it, it seems that is necessary to have
knowledge about the use of the Google Ads API, and I have no experience
there.

Starting from an intermediate level knowledge of JavaScript and SQL, what
resources do you recommend for me to learn?

Trying to learn it solely by reading the official documentation is tricky.

Thanks in advance!

Unconsistent number of impressions between Geo Performance Report and Campaign Performance Report

2021-03-09 Thread Alberto
Hi,

Im requesting a report for a campaign and GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT, adding
all impressions for every item I get 358845 impressions, but if I query
campaign data through CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT I get 359463 impressions.

Im aware Google Ads interface metrics doesnt match API response metrics
because it doesnt provide real time stats, but in this case these
impressions should match right?

Thanks in advance

How can I exclude placements in Smart Display Campaigns?

2020-02-29 Thread Alberto Esteves Correia
Hello everybody,

I want to do the following:

1) Detect placements that has some conditions. Example: Clics > 10 AND CTR
> 10% DURING LAST_MONTH

2) Exclude this placements (and others placements from others Display
campaigns, smart or not)

I was trying to do that with Google Ads Scripts, but it's not possible

https://groups.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!msg/adwords-scripts/cwlUk04pECc/c01tRSJyAAAJ

There is any way to do that with the Google Ads API?

Thanks!

Re: How to exclude topics through AdWords API

2019-11-16 Thread Alberto
Hello,

Id like to know, if as its possible to exclude certain AgeRange using this
code:

return (new AdGroupCriterionOperation())
->setOperand(
(new NegativeAdGroupCriterion())
->setAdGroupId($networkId)
->setCriterionUse(CriterionUse::NEGATIVE)
->setCriterion(
(new AgeRange())->setId($ageRangeId)
)
->setAdGroupCriterionType(CriterionType::AGE_RANGE)
)
->setOperator(Operator::ADD)
;

If its possible to do the same but with topics, for example, excluding "New
Homes & Custom Homes" through AdWords API.

Thanks

API is not returning Campaign Type DISCOVERY

2019-10-07 Thread Alberto Azambuja
Hi API team,

We are trying to get campaigns via the new Google Ads API and it seems the
API is not returning data for any campaigns with AdvertisingChannelType =
DISCOVERY

We can get the data using the old AdWords API, but not the new one.

Documentation also does not list DISCOVERY as valid

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v2/campaign#campaign.advertising_channel_type

Thanks and Regards,

Develope a tool that executes a Google Ads Script only for logged users

Hello everyone,

I've developed a Google Ads Script that I would like to share with some
users that must been registered in a website, but don't show them the
script code.

1) Users have to register on a specific website and *allow acces to their
Google Ads account*.

2) User can execute some actions in this third-party website

3) User can *not be able to see the script code*.

In other words, *something like Optmyzr tool*

Is it possible?

Mutate action not permitted for client updating ad group

2019-07-22 Thread Alberto
Hi all,

I received following error using PHP google adwords library:

[OperationAccessDenied.MUTATE_ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CLIENT @
operations[0]]

Trying to do the following operation:

$clientId = intval(str_replace('-', '', $clientId));
$session = (new AdWordsSessionBuilder())
->fromFile($this->adsConfigFile)
->withClientCustomerId($clientId)
->withOAuth2Credential($this->oAuth2Credentials)
->build();

$adWordsServices = new AdWordsServices();
$adGroupService = $adWordsServices->get($session, AdGroupService::class);

$adGroup = new AdGroup();
$adGroup->setId($adGroupId);
$adGroup->setStatus(AdGroupStatus::PAUSED);

$operation = new AdGroupOperation();
$operation->setOperand($adGroup);
$operation->setOperator(Operator::SET);

$result = $adGroupService->mutate([$operation]);

Ids are correct and campaign is one video campaign. I dont know if I have
restrictions over mutating operations on the API.

Regards.

AWQL: Error in Where statement trying to filter CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT by Label

2017-03-19 Thread Alberto Esteves Correia
Hi everyone,

I'm testing how to select some metrics from CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
filtering by Label. But I'm going crazy with that:

select
Labels, LabelIds
from CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
where Labels CONTAINS "Name of Label"
during LAST_7_DAYS

I've tried the where clause with all of these variants:

where Labels CONTAINS "Name of Label"
where Labels CONTAINS ["Name of Label"]
where Labels CONTAINS 'Name of Label'
where Labels CONTAINS '"Name of Label"'
where Labels CONTAINS '["Name of Label"]'

The same with = and CONTAINS_IGNORE_CASE operators

Furthermore, I've tried in this other way:

where "Name of Label" IN Labels
where ["Name of Label"] IN Labels
where 'Name of Label' IN Labels
where '"Name of Label"' IN Labels
where '["Name of Label"]' IN Labels

But none of these options worked.

On the other hand, I have coded a MCC script where filtered MCC accounts by
Label Name in this way:

var mccLabelText = "Name of Label";
var accountIterator = MccApp.accounts().withCondition("LabelNames CONTAINS
'" + mccLabelText +"'").orderBy('Name').get();

and it worked!

Any ideas?

Thousands of Thanks!

I have tried to run the example getRelatedkeyword.java distributed with the

What can be the problem?

Local monthly searches

2011-11-23 Thread Alberto Tofani
Hi,

I am new to Adwords API and I am using the JAVA Adwords API. I would
like to be able to get a keyword search volume. I have been succesfull
in obtaining the global monthly seaches for a given keyword.
In the following a brief sample of the code I am using (the code was
taken from one of the Adwords API code examples)
Keyword keyword = new Keyword();
  keyword.setText(mykeyword);
  keyword.setMatchType(KeywordMatchType.EXACT);
  // Create selector.
  TargetingIdeaSelector selector = new TargetingIdeaSelector();
  selector.setRequestType(RequestType.STATS);
  selector.setIdeaType(IdeaType.KEYWORD);
  selector.setLocaleCode(lang);
  selector.setRequestedAttributeTypes(new AttributeType[] {
  AttributeType.KEYWORD_CATEGORY,
  AttributeType.CRITERION,
  AttributeType.GLOBAL_MONTHLY_SEARCHES});

The problem is that I would like to be able to get the local search
volume. How it would be possible using the Adwords API?

At the moment I am usind the v201101 version of the API.

RE: AdWords API Re: Placement report cames without any data

2010-01-13 Thread Pablo Alberto Camino
Today, we tried with an older date range, like from a week before, and got data
in the response.
Could it be that this report is only ready with data after quite some time?
Can I pull it for yesterday or is it too early?

Hi,

Are you making this request against the production endpoint? Does this request
work for other date ranges? Does this report return different data if
scheduled through the UI?
