Hi Igor,

Thank you for your response.

You may note that our API support team unfortunately does not have visibility
regarding the generation of the said GCLIDs. That said, I would recommend that
you clarify within your team which tag setup was implemented on your end, so
you can also ensure which platform the click IDs are coming from.

As for your other questions :

Could you clarify cases when we get such error?

The error suggests that the click could be from an external source. Click IDs
or GCLIDs that are associated to your account should be available via the
click_view report, and you should be able to use those in your conversion
uploads.

Do we need to filter data before upload by click_view report?

We recommend that you perform this additional step to ensure that you are
indeed uploading clicks that are associated to your account and is recognized
by Google Ads in the backend.

Best regards,

Peter Laurence

2022-10-24 Thread 'Igor Selitsky' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi, I've the same error on v11 in many cases.

One case:
According to other URL parameters this gclid belongs to Google Ads:
utm_source=google_medium=cpc_campaign=18412061406_term=_content=628323498875=EAIaIQobChMI9Oa5ocHu-gIV5kMdCR2HXAHvEAEYASAAEgLvoPD_BwE
We use tracking template:
utm_source=google_medium=cpc_campaign={campaignid}_term={keyword}_content={creative}

So campaign id is 18412061406, but upload return an error:
"The click associated with the identifier or iOS URL parameter does not
exist in the system. This can occur if the identifier or iOS URL parameter
are collected for non Google Ads clicks (for example, Search Ads 360)."

In click_view report I don't see this gclid, also there is not impressions
and clicks for this campaign in target date (23 Oct 2022).
Campaign is enabled, but scheduled only on working days.

Could you clarify cases when we get such error?
Do we need to filter data before upload by click_view report?

They told me the following from the Google Ads Product support team:

*Unfortunately, we're not able to check the origin.Have a nice rest of the
day!*

So they are not able to check the origin of the GCLID provided.

Is there a way to check the origin of the GCLID (ourselves), without the
need to interact with the API? Meaning, via the User Dashboard.

Hi there,

The support is not really helpful. You are telling me to contact the
Product Team. This is the reply by the product team:

*Unfortunately, since this is an API issue, we're not able to help out with
that. API issues are out of scope for the Google Ads customer support.*

You are passing the buck among yourselves and no one is taking
responsibility for the incident.

Can someone please help me?

If I launch a campaign *WITHOUT* those checkboxes marked, then I don't
understand why traffic is coming from Search & Display Network (outside of
Google Network), that have invalid click ID values.

The Product team has not changed anything under my campaign settings.

Hi Alex,

By default, new ad campaigns are set up to show ads across the entire network
to give your ads the most visibility. If clicks are generated outside the
"Google Network" despite disabling Search & Display Network from your
Campaigns, you may reach out to the Product team via this link, for further
assistance as they might check the checkbox settings under "Search Network," at
the time of clicks occured.

Yes, using V10.

I am having issues just with some click IDs. The majority of them are
getting processed correctly.

So the implementation is good, it's just that some clicks don't get
processed correctly.

What does "dart search" stand for?
