I like Plex as well. A lot of the streaming services are solely focused on
keeping you focused in so you watch more.

2021-01-24 Thread Chuck McCown via AF
Yeah, we rod the cylinders normally. That takes times. 25 tamps at three
different levels. 30 raps with a mallet etc. The spec shows we can also just
vibrate them. So we put them all on a shake table this time. Much quicker.
Inside the broken cylinders they were pretty solid and homogeneous.

You might have gotten higher load of there were fewer voids. I noticed a few
voids in the "before" picture, and that is only on the surface.

Yes, it is filling a microtrench slot for Google Fiber. This is actually
strong compared to other jurisdictions. SLC wants 500 psi and UDOT wants no
more than 150 psi.

What is the reason for wanting such a low psi rating? It is to make it easier
to remove in the future?

I think Plex handle this really well. When you pause something it will
freeze the screen when some a button bar on the lower 1/3 then after a few
sec the button bar goes away. Then if you press down button will bring up a
screen overlay that will have cast info and description info.

Am I the only one that's annoyed when you pause a video stream, they dim
the screen and pop up other information. How are you supposed to pause
for the juicy bits? And what about stepping through a scene frame by
frame? Today's poor kids probably have no concept of stepping through
frame by frame.I mean at least the 2000's kids could pause the clear
frame on the DVD and not having all the VHS tracking lines on the screen
like I grew up with.

That pisses me off so much I could spit. We often notice little tidbits;
we go back and stop at the time, but we can't see what we're looking for
b/c the screen is cluttered with all sorts of other stuff overlayiong
what we're trying to look closer at.

Are you and us the only ones this ticks off? No! Please say no!
