Wow, those people seem a little … entitled. Good thing people aren’t like that
now. Shade!

Re: [AFMUG] I miss

2020-10-12 Thread Forrest Christian (List Account)
I have been thinking the same thing.

I'm 2019, I spent nearly 3 months in hotel rooms between work and
pleasure. Basically was a week a month somewhere.

In 2020, the only trip we've taken other than a couple nearby weekend
camping trips was to Vegas for CES in January.

My biannual trip to Munich for a trade show was supposed to be next month.
We normally will take a few days before and after to play tourist in some
other part of europe. Not gonna happen this year.

I'm also missing my fall pilgrimage to Vegas for WISPAPALOOZA which also
usually means a visit to my parents. I guess wispa is doing something but
I have pretty much decided that based on various risk factors I should stay
home at least until this hopefully settles down mid 2021.

Which doesn't help fix my travel withdrawals.

Business opportunity: telepresence tourism.

in their VR headsets drive them around to sightsee. Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc
