Yea, the jackasses at APS are now saying 10am. I was on the phone with them at
4am and they flat told me the techs were onsite and ETA was 6:40. I went to
bed. We call them at 7am to get an update and they said nobody was there and
they are dispatching now. ETA is 10am.

Writing from the perspective of a 10Gbps MMW wireless vendor - this is a very
interesting topic.
(our 10Gbps links fully available and shipping: including in 2+0 configuration
which gives 20Gbps on the same antenna using H+V polarisations. Some customers
are planning on stacking these again to give 40Gbps FDX capacity between sites).

Ideally, there would be some integration with the switch fabric for bonding.
Simplest scenario is if one link goes up/down in one or both directions; but
more subtle is if/when ACM activates, two paths may operate at different speed
(rain fade on H,V is not identical).
Some fairly intelligent IP fabric is required to do "Radio Link Aggregation"
with variable rate wireless links.
I suspect that mobile operators/vendors will solve this first; solutions for
corporates/ISPs will come along behind.

Best regards
Stephen

The bonding of 10G is the easy part. The management of data flows with regards

Can be routed or switched. The end result simply needs to be 40Gbps with lower
speeds optional in harsh weather with minimal latency.

That was an Accedian product.

So you need 40Gbps... at a minimum of 8x10Gbps at each end.

I think MikroTik has an 8 port 10Gbps CCR, but I don't have any experience with
it.

Can the hop be routed, or must it be switched?

Right. If you need a 10G+ stream, you'll need in-radio bonding. If you just

Can be routed or switched. The end result simply needs to be 40Gbps with
lower speeds optional in harsh weather with minimal latency.

If you just
need 10+ Gbps of traffic, there are multiple ways to do that.

Can be routed or switched. The end result simply needs to be 40Gbps with
lower speeds optional in harsh weather with minimal latency.

If you just

router) and setup OSPF ECMP. This gives you hardware HA
