Re: [AFMUG] Fall protection for rooftop
What would it cost to have a steel cable type rail installed? I think that a rail is required if you will be within a certain distance from the edge. Where are my OSHA guys? Somebody has to know this rule. That being said, We've never had rails on the rooftop sites for any company that I have ever worked for. I was thinking maybe some of those interlinking steel crowd barriers? Can't really find a source for those either and they look to be like $25 per foot which will also cost a fortune... Maybe one of those retractable fall protection things anchored to the middle of the roof ?
Re: [AFMUG] Fall protection for rooftop
My cirumstances are a pain in the ass, they won't even let me on the roof to survey it because it's so dangerous no one goes up there. ... The alternative they suggested instead of a non-pen on the roof? Mount a 20ft pole on the side of the building and try to install and service the antennas using a extension ladder, lol On Wed, Apr 15, 2015 at 9:57 AM, Bill Prince part15...@gmail.com wrote: In our case, it's not our building, and the building owner has his own rules.
