We have a handful of Radwin 2000's which only support 2000 bytes, so that's where I have it set. Some day when those are gone we'll go to 9000+ The internet is at 1500 only as long as the networks it consists of are at 1500. We do 9192 everywhere possible in the core … jumbo frames etc… last mile access 1540-1600 we try to achieve if equipment along the path supports it …. It all depends on the network, what you're using now, and what you may use in the future. There is no cookie-cutter MTU.
