From Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, the Civ-like game:

* A handsome young Cyborg named Ace
  Wooed women at every base,
 But once ladies glanced at
 His special enhancement
They vanished with nary a trace.

*** I want it now! ***

Friendly AGI? many worry,
but I would start with input story:
NL support - what a pain,
human-senses - how insane..
But, there's a shortcut one can grab,
Form-based I/O does the job.
You can get it NL-close,
still fun for users - the way I chose.
Many keep trying the NL way,
can't get meaning = their price to pay.
How many decades before their WOW! (?),
I want AGI and I want it now!
Let's get the meaning and let it fly
so AGI can live before you die.
The form-based I/O gives KR clues
has non-lingo info for you to use.
Let's knock this down and have fun with reason,
without wasting another season.

Jiri :-)

The Provably Friendly AI
Was such a considerate guy!
Upon introspection
And careful reflection,
It shut itself off with a sigh.

The provable *social* AI
was indeed a very sexy sheila
but she became too emotional
and her brain too irrational
so her creator killda

2007-05-25 Thread Bob Mottram

An old poem of mine, vaguely AI related:

 Factory worker
 the watchmakers strongest son
 arms cascading through space
 time, the unforgiving metronome
on a stage of smoke and tarnish
 perhaps only those metal hands
worn down by years of toil
could tell the stories of your forefathers

Your probabilistic logic
May not be the magic
If the source is not open
Nothing's going to happen
Let the public be the critic!
