I object to the other three intents (that might have email quotation or
that use "devised").
("Devised" is cute, but I doubt "decided" counts as a grammatical
variation of "decision" in this context.)

With support from Jason, and no objections, I do so. (I've verified
that Jason has sufficient ribbons to support an intent during a
Festival.)
(I look mildly disapprovingly on all the recent Apathy intents, which
made it a pain to figure out that nobody had objected to this intent in
particular or to all intents in general – there were certainly a lot of
objections to some of the other intents going around, but none of them
affected this one.)

A Device CAN activate or deactivate emself by announcement.

[I think this is my favourite of the suggestions – it could lead to an
interesting CFJ and doesn't create extra work for people. Adding it to
the "device on" list because it seems much safer to create a device
that might be able to turn itself off than it does to create a device
that might be able to turn itself on.]
