I respond to this petition by instead intending, without objection, to ratify the following statement: * Immediately after the adoption of Proposal 8832 (Coin Cleaning), the Buoyancy Target and Total Buoyancy each had values of one-tenth, rounded down, of their values immediately before the adoption of that proposal. This statement is incorrect, based on the proposal's literal text, but its ratification would bring the economy back in line with what most voters presumably believed its intent to be. It would also invalidate Gaelan's and 4st's attempts to take advantage of the situation (the former because e assumed a boatload of coins was 0 coins, the latter because e explicitly made eir actions conditional on same). To the best of my knowledge, immediately before the adoption of this proposal, the Total Buoyancy was 448912 (Treasuror's report of Aug 14) and the Buoyancy Target was 525757 (flipped shortly after said report), thus ratifying this statement would set them to 44891 and 52575 respectively.
