Bug#525642: fglrx-driver: request fglrx 9-3-1 as latest support for express 1200 series

2009-04-26 Thread Jan Esser
Package: fglrx-driver
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

it would be great, if the latest version of fglrx-driver 9-3-1 could be
remade available, because this is the latest supporting radeon mobility
express 1200 series (especially RS690M chipset). With 9-4-1 obviously,
regarding release notes, this serie is no more supported and aticonfig
states no supported device found.

A good question here is, if this stalled driver can be build against
2.6.29.

Kind Regards,
Jan

 Hi,

I can't reproduce this one. Is it something reproducible on your
configuration or not? If it was reproducible for a while and not at
the moment is there any chance it stopped misworking after you upgrade
 libwxgtk2.6-0 to version 2.6.3.2.2-1 ?

 Thanks,
 Raphaël

Bug#451119: fglrx-driver: 64bit OpenGL-support fails with GLX_SGIX_pbuffer

2007-11-13 Thread Jan Esser
Package: fglrx-driver
Version: 8.42.3-3
Severity: normal

32bit OpenGL-support works
but running e.g. fgl_glxgears throws:
$ fgl_glxgears
Using GLX_SGIX_pbuffer
X Error of failed request: GLXUnsupportedPrivateRequest
Major opcode of failed request: 162 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 16 (X_GLXVendorPrivate)
Serial number of failed request: 41
Current serial number in output stream: 42

$ fgl_glxgears -fbo works btw

- video in fullscreen works good (sound fits to video with mplayer)
but does not scale to fullscreen (i guess this is a known issue)

Bug#450424: ata1.00: DISK MIGHT NOT BE SPUN DOWN PROPERLY. UPDATE SHUTDOWN UTILITY

2007-11-07 Thread Jan Esser
Package: linux-image-2.6.22-3-amd64
Version: 2.6.22-5
Severity: normal

1) at the end of shutdown i get the following message:

sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Stopping disk
ata1.00: DISK MIGHT NOT BE SPUN DOWN PROPERLY. UPDATE SHUTDOWN UTILITY
ata1.00: For more info visit http://linux-ata.org/shutdown.html

2) this or maybe a second issue causes that after reboot system hangs
during BIOS. When halting system hangs too, pushing power button results
in Cannot set affinity to IRQ 0-message. Im also not sure if
disabling Non-boot CPU is fine. For the moment the only way is to
brute force with 3-second power-button pushing.

jvm crashes on debian-amd64 with native libs from jogl or lwjgl

same szenario on ubuntu/gutsy i586 works fine)

for me it looks like there is a problem in JNI... maybe some mix-up
between 32 and 64bit arch of jvm (speculation)
