Re: [all-audio] Converting an AVI file with GoldWave to mp3
Greetings Stuart, You can split any file in GW using cue markers. 1. Open the file you want to split. 2. At start of file press q, this puts in the first marker. 3. However you desire, find the next and subsequent places you want to split into tracks and once satisfied it is the right place, press q. 4. When completely marked, go to edit menu into q points sub menu and enter on split file. 5. You are now in a dialogue which is mostly self-explanatory. By default, the tracks will be saved in the file's current settings. I am sure you can now navigate round the menu no problem. 6. I suggest do not delete the master file with marks until you have checked the tracks are the way you desire. You do not place a q marker after the place where you want to split the last track, nor must you in any way edit the file once the markers are placed apart from realizing a problem after the last q has been placed, you can edit anything after the last marker is placed in the remainder of the file and go on to place markers as necessary. Hi stewart. You will get loads of suggestions from others with many Free programmes. Personally, I purchased Goldwave about 15 years ago for about £17.00. To my surprise, I also got a Life Licence with it and I can install it on multiple computers and guess what else, you get absolutely free upgrades for life. consequently, to buy Goldwave these days, it must cost well over £30.00. There is a great accessible manual that is in the download so you can learn how to place markers directly on the spot you wish to chop and do this for the whole file and of course, you can name each track and save it in about 20 different formats. So for what's, I think that you will never regret going with Goldwave. Very best wishes.
