Hmm, well, I'm pretty sure it can be done some other way, but that would
involve removing DRM, which is probably not something that ought to be
discussed on a mailing list.
If you can play the things in iTunes though, you should be able to get it
done, but results might nto be the best.

 AppleVis listing states that VoiceOver should mute itself and it did for 
 my first recording. But not the second. Don't know if I am going to do any 
 more recordings like this if it is not reliable.

Hello,
i believe that DB poweramp may do this, or, WidsMob Converter.
There amy even be an m4p converter in itunes, I've seen reference to it,
but never found it.  Mind you Itunes can be a nasty little programme to
get round.
