Re: [all-audio] Ascertaining Pitch/Frequency of Different Sounds

2022-09-27 Thread Colin Howard
Greetings,

I am aware the accepted (concert) pitch of 523.23Hertz is fifth octave c,
some say fifth octave c is 517Hertz, I am also aware fourth octave a is
440Hertz, I guess you can find out other pitches / frequencies off the net
but don't know how or where.

that the phone doesn't always pick up sounds played off of my computer
or through my speakers).

Thanks very much in advance for any advice... I'm looking forward to

2022-09-16 Thread Dean Masters
I know in Audacity you can find out what key the song you are playing is in
but I don't know if there is something in that program to give individual
notes. I use this when changing the pitch of a karaoke track. Most other
editors I have tried just give a frequency which I have no clue about. so I
like how it gives the note of the key.

You're right! It went in without a problem. It even set up the input
device the way I wanted. Now I'm having trouble with the mic. Have a
meeting this afternoon and can't get the mic to work.

In addition, I'll have to put in my registration codes. Then comes

I'll be back.

John, yes, I do have my window maximized. For a brief moment or
too earlier in the week I did think this was the problem, sadly
though not the case.

Philip, your suggestion isn't a procedure I'm currently used to
using, but I'll start giving it a go and see how it works out.

When all's said and done, perhaps updating to the latest versions
of GW and JAWS scripts may be the sensible thing to do. If it
continues to happen, it may well be PC through the window time!!

Please feel free to toss any other suggestions into the mix.
