The implementation is of course wrong ( but worked pretty reliably until I noticed today ) The 'windowResized' 'borderWidthsChanged' events should ideally just indicate we are 'in' a resize operation, a mouse release should actually trigger detection that a resize has occurred ( and fire the handler ). (Ditto for Calc, and presumably Draw, Impress and Base, too, although I didn't check with those.) Fixing this problems seems to be quite complex. I have to come up with some fix quickly for a customer of ours, but it will be something of a hack I am afraid, so I doubt you will want that upstream. You might prefer a more general cleanup of the whole vcl frame / system window / etc thing while at it. Lots of cruft there. One example: the parallel definitions of WINDOWSTATE_* in vcl/syswin.hxx and SAL_FRAMESTATE_* in vcl/salwtype.hxx. Note the comment in the latter that says Must be the same as in syswin.hxx. So why not just delete the duplicates then and use just one set of macros? Like, you select column B, add a new condition called «Nonzero» that marks all cells green which are not zero/empty, and apply this condition to the column B. Then select column C and apply the «Nonzero» condition here as well just by applying the already existing condition. * Priority of conditions. This could also be done via a list. The condition at the top is the most important and evaluated at last. For example, the top condition is «Divisible by 4», which colorizes the cells green, and the second condition is «Divisible by 2» which colorizes the cells yellow. Depending on the order either all cells are yellow (%2 at the top) or the ones divisible by 4 are green and the rest yellow. * Highlight cells with conditional formatting. Perhaps via a tool similar to the one that shows paragraphs, spaces, tabulators, and so on. From the already running clipboard viewing application, it will receive the message WM_DRAWCLIPBOARD without delay, but will block on GetClipboardData() for the infamous 5 seconds, and then continue as normal. This has been an issue for a very long time, as far back as OOo 2.2 or even longer. Lots of accessibility programs like screen readers use a clipboard viewer to read copied text. It is very irritating and frustrating for the users of such programs. There exists a simple workaround, but it's not very obvious. 1. Make sure no clipboard viewing program is running. 2. Open Writer, write some arbitrary text, copy it to clipboard (CTRL+C or context menu). 3. Now you can run any clipboard viewing software without those nasty delays. This is, in my opinion, an issue caused by broken clipboard viewer code within OOo framework. It should, hopefully be easy to fix with these observations. I think the main arguments are: - tedious and counter intuitive - color button has practically no purpose than show the current text color, which is already visible with the text itself. In my presentations, I have to use it at least 10 times per page, in about 70 pages (slides). An alternative could be to be able to put buttons into the tool bar with configurable color, which change the text color. So I would perhaps have three buttons for the main three colors I need. But I think, that is much more work to develop, and it is not consistent with rest of OO and with other (e.g. Microsoft) tools.
