That is the system wide font should have been updated properly. 2) remove the system wide installed font manually (and from all other places the system might look for the font), then install the new font system wide manually. The new font can be found within the OOo installation (named opens___.ttf). For windows the directory to look into is 'Basis\share\fonts\truetype' 3) Remove all OpenSymbol fonts from the installation but NOT the one from with the OOo installation. In that case OOo should make use of the font version found in the installation and that will (always) be the correct version. However this solution will be a bad idea if you want to print, because in that case the printer will not find the OpenSymbol font. However the saving mechanism could be enhanced by splitting a large file into many parts with a predefined nomenclature. There should be a saving mechanism by which a document will be split to many parts after it has reached a certain size (which will be defined by the user). All splitted files will contain info about the size after which the file should be split, by using this and the nomenclature of the broken files (which will be searched for) the document will be opened as a whole. The document will be broken from the beginning to the end, thus saving a document will only recreate a single file rather than many or a large file. It might happen that a user deletes certain section of the document, making one part lighter... this will be accepted as it is. This database was created from using Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1.6 as an Address Data Source. I open this database, and select the table addressbook (one of three tables created by Address Data Source Wizard procedure). I then apply the Standard Filter to find any match on any field. When the filter is applied, OOo 3.3 RC4 crashes. For example, in table addressnook, I wish to apply standard filetr on First Name like John. When I entered OK to apply the filter, OOo crashes every time. It would seem that the database created in this fashion is somehow corrupted. I can apply the standard filter on other databases with no problem. I perform the following steps: Open OOo Base 3.3. RC4. Select Wizard-Address Data Source. I thn select Thunderbird as the external address book. I click Next. For my case, there are three address books defined in Thunderbird. OOo Base allows my to select main address book. I select the first addressbook and click Next. I then specify a path and name to the new database to be created, and enter Finish. The database is then created. I open this database, and open Table addressbook. I than select the Standard filter, with any conditions. For example, First Name Like John. When I eneter OK to apply the stanbdard filter, OOo crashes. If I drag a video to make it larger, the actual video stays the same size and the black border increases in thickness to compensate. If I reduce the video size by about 30%, the border completely goes away. Essentially, everything after the glyph is unreadable. Expected behaviour is, that the glyph U+2551 is rendered the best possible way (which actually produces a good result currently), and that the text afterwards is NOT affected. Debian version (1:3.2.1-7 according to debian's classfication) is used. But the debian bugs-of- impress page seems to be unmaintained in the last time, so I'm reporting here. It seems that is ration between size of the object (formula) to size of of the original OLE object and of course vertical and horizontal size in % is different. Size in cm seems related to real size of draw and not size of page. So, when I inserted several draws with different contents, I had to manually calculated for example 80% from Original Size to made it looks similar. - sometime - difficult to reproduce, When I changed value Width I could see automatically calculated value of Height, but at the end only Width value was applied to OLE. (Keep Ratio was ticked.) - editing of a content leads to deformation of the content after return to Writer. Size of OLE object should be manually resize and again manually recalculated relative size. - if I clicked on Original Size, Width = 27.29 cm button and then ticked Width Relative I got value Width = 100% but when I untick that I got different value of Width = 25.70 cm. (all ticks relative and keep ratio were at the beginning blank, inserted OLE object was filed up to all corners of an original size A4, landscape) - Could be nice if I ticked Keep Ration and then object keep same ration all the time, even if I drag the side or conner of the object by mouse. - those OLE objects sometime look different under Linux and Win version OO.Org. As a workaround, the attached DEV300_m93-sfx2.patch will change sfx2/qa/cppunit so that it is not built during a normal build, but only built via subsequenttests.
