Steps: 1: Start a new spreadsheet in Calc. 2: Put this data in: A1: 1 A2: 2 A3: 3 * Click on B1. * Click on SUM icon. (A blue border will appear on A1) * Drag the blue bar to mark A1 to A3. * Press Enter (B1 now contains the result 6) * Click Undo. (B1 is now empty) * Click Redo. (B1 now contains the text =SUM(A1:A3)) Expected result: Then clicking Redo, B1 should display the result 6, and not display the formula as text. Workaround: 1: Go to B1. 2: Remove the = 3: Add the = again 4: Press enter Now Calc again knows it's a formula, and correctly displays the result. Notice: This bug ONLY occurs of you're using the SUM icon as described in the steps above. Writing the formula by hand does NOT tricker this bug. Tested on OOo 3.1.0 and 3.1.1. By looking at the memory usage and a strace - it looks like OO.Org tries to allocate over 2gb of memory. Though - this bug is NOT in OpenOffice 1.1.5!
