When you create a big document you would normally use pictures with captions. 2. So: You create a document. For every picture you add a frame by adding a caption. 3. This frame seems to have the style and formatting frame (because this is shown in the window style and formatting) but it has not. It has the same formatting as the picture inside it. Problem: It has the same formatting but not the same style and formatting. 4. So: You created a big document with many pictures and you decide that there should be some more space above the caption frames. 5. You change the style of formatting of frame. This does not change anything since none of the caption frames is based on this (it is just displayed wrong. 6. Since you know that the caption frames gets the same formatting as the picture you try to change the style and formatting of graphics. The annoying thing is, that it is not really possible to change a thing in the picture submenu, when a frame (caption) is used. In the first two tabs (when ok is pressed and the frame has been resized some time before) each time the picture is resized (out of the frame). Could this issue be adressed in OOo 3.0.1 so that documents with picture and captions are possible in OOo? Go to the itemized list field and create an item by typing some text and pressing enter. 4. Now create a subitem by pressing Tab in the second line and typing some text followed by Enter.line. 5. Create another two subitems. 6. Mark the text of a subitem and copy it by pressing CTRL+C. 7. Create a new Subitem and paste the text by pressing Ctrl+V. Now you should see that the formatting of the text is broken. The font size is wrong. In my opinion this is a P2 bug which should be definitely fixed in OOo 3.0.1. The solution to have all slide masters (templates which the user selected temporarily) in the presentation is not really a solution. I think it is a big problem that OOo cannot disinguish between master slides created by the user and master slides which were only short time selected from templates. This bug was encountered before the 2.0 release (about 3 years ago). The bug leads to data loss and to a behaviour that a normal user cannot understand. In order to use OOo as a professional presentation program, this bug has to be fixed. I think the open-source community always has good arguments for using open-source. One is that important bugs are recognised and fixed very soon. In my opinion this bug should be set to P1 or P2 since it is really a release-critical bug which has to be fixed for 3.0.
