I have connected through jdbc (mysql j connector) and when I attempted to make
relationships (tools, relationships), I get an error message stating:
OpenOffice.org Base: Relation Design
The database does not support relations.

I created tables and then setup relationships between them and saved it (see
attached printscreen image). Then I reentered the relationship area (tools--
relationships) to edit them, however, the tables are still present but the
relationship lines are gone and it will not allow me to recreate them.

I am running Linux Mint 9 Isadora. The issue occurs with both the openoffice
distribution that comes from Mint as well as the one downloaded (I then totally
removed the full openoffice suite and installed the one I downloaded from the
openoffice.org website and the problem is still present.) I tried this with
both standalone database as well as one on MySql server and the problem occurs
with both.

Thanks

I first tried the relationships in the local db and had the issue described,
then I tried it with a openoffice as the frontend and MySql as the backend and
had the same issue.
Then, I removed openoffice (one from mint repository) and installed the
openoffice I downloaded from the openoffice.org website, restarted computer,
then tried the db linked to MySql and had the same issue. I did not try the
local db again after installing the openoffice downloaded from openoffice.org.
I checked the local db just now after seeing your request for the local db
version and the relationships worked perfectly, however, the db connected to
MySql has the issue described already, still.

Thanks

I am running linux mint gloria. Since linux mint/ubuntu do not have openoffice
3.1 on apt (only 3.0), I downloaded this package from your website:

http://download.services.openoffice.org/files/stable/3.1.1/OOo_3.1.1_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz

I proceeded to install each of the .deb packages individually. Each .deb
package is careful to check that necessary dependancies are installed prior to
allowing installing of itself.

However, several of them (one of them is ooobasis3.1-en-us-base) cites a
dependancy need for Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: ooobasis3.1-en-US,
yet I have installed the .deb package, included in the above mentioned download,
called ooobasis3.1-en-us_3.1.1-19_i386 and this has not satisfied the
dependancy error for some reason. I have not been able to install the rest of
the .deb packages for the same reason (about 8 or so of them).

Thanks.
