I ran the second time (with different databases)in the same problem. I createed
a report based on a querie with SRB and it worked well. But after the last time
i run the report succesfull, i inserted a new dataset. The next time i execute
the report i got an error message the document could not be opened.
If i create a tableview from this querie and bind it to the same report as
datasource, the report could run without any problem. (So there is a work
around)

After a little investigation, if i delete the last dataset (Nr. 45), the report
runs again. But if i delete different datasets, the report fails. I have no idea
what is so special at dataset Nr. 45.

It is the same with ooo 3.2 SRB 1.2 and 3.3m11 with SRB 1.2.1

To see what i mean

-open attached database

-go to queries
-double click on qry_Rezeptbuch
querie runs without any problem

-run report Rezeptbuch (based on querie qry_Rezeptbuch)
= error
-run report Rezeptbuch_tabelle1 (based on view tabelle1)
= successfull

-open Forms
-execute Form RezeptEingabe by double click
-delete first record ID 13

-go to reports
-run report Rezeptbuch
= error

-open Forms
-execute Form RezeptEingabe by double click
-go to last record ID 45
-delete this record

-go to reports
-run report Rezeptbuch
= successfull

[dba-issues] [Issue 111959] Subform with tablegrid do es not work anymore

I could solve the problem for me.

It was not a problem with the subform grid but with the underlaying table.

That table was a N:N-table with an autoincrement ID as Primary key in the
internal hsqldb. And this table creates duplicates from the dataset in OOo
3.2.1.

You can see the duplicates it in the sample.odb in table tblkey_wetter

So it works for me.

I create a form, that works until oooBase 3.2.0.

In ooo 3.2.1rc2 this form does not work anymore. It shows for every entry the
same information. To see what i mean, open the attached pdf file.

I create a simple Bugdoc that shows the error.

In some cases the settings in the Group Header settings will force a wrong
New Page

1) If you have a Report Header and set the first Group Header
to Repeat Section = YES a wrong New Page will come.

2) If you have two Group Header and set the first Group Header
to Repeat Section = No and the second Group Header to
   Repeat Section = YES.

To see what i mean open attached database
- go to Reports
- run Report1_work...
= notice Report Header is on the same page as the Group Header
= notice Report Footer is after the last detail data

- run Report1_dont_work...
= notice Report Header is after the Page Header alone on the
first page, the Group Header begins on the second page.
= notice Report Footer is on a New Page after the last
   detail data

- run Report2_work...
= notice Group HeaderI is on the same page as the Group Header2

- run Report2_dont_work...
= notice Group Header1 is after the Page Header alone on the
first page, the Group Header2 begins on the second page.

I checked with OOO3.2.0m9 and SRB 1.2.0m8 and 3.1.1

I create a Base-file with an connection to an MS-Access97 database file.
Everything was OK, i get the tables and the queries as views and i could work
with the database.
But after close and reopen the file and went to the tables, the connection was
lost with the message: wrong filename.
A simple
- Edit/Database/Properties
- pick up the same file by Browse dialog will solve the problem
- save, close and reopen will open the same error-message

I create an query with a Sum function like:

  CASEWHEN( ID 2, Zahl, 0 )
This works properly, but if i change something inside like
  CASEWHEN( ID 3, Zahl, 0 )

I get this error:

  SQL Status: 37000
  Error code: -67

Not in aggregate function or group by clause:
org.hsqldb.express...@85e019 in statement [SELECT SUM( Zahl )
AS Summe, CASEWHEN( ID 2, Zahl, 0 ) AS ChangeMe FROM
  Table1]

To get it work again, i have to change the Function to e.g. count, run the
query again and after that set the function back to Sum

Only a save or save and close of the query does not solve the problem. But after
reopen the query you can see, that the Sum Function is lost. Not only the
Sum Function is affected.

-Open attached database
-Edit query Query1
-Change CASEWHEN( ID 2, Zahl, 0 ) to
 CASEWHEN( ID 3, Zahl, 0 )
-Run the query
= ERROR
-Change Function to count
-Run the query
-Change Function to Sum
-Run the query
= NO ERROR
= It is the same Error, if i start with the count Funktion

I checked with OOO320m7 and OOO3.1.1 and both the same

My report was is not exact enough. I mean that the picture from the icons is
different from that what the Button suggests.

The shrink from top and the shrink from bottom buttons should be switched.

When the arrow faces downward, the visual suggsestion is that something shrink
from the top but the program did the opposite. And vice versa.

It would be more intuitiv to use.

In my oppinion, the icons for the section Top shrink
and Bottom shrink are wrong and must be exchange.

The wiki explains:
* Top shrink removes the top empty space between section top range
and the first top control.

* Bottom shrink removes the bottom empty space between the section
bottom range and the last bottom control.

If i rename an coloumn in the table editor like
dtText in dttext, and saved the table by click on the save
button. The coloumn will be deleted without any hint that data will
be lost.
After opening the Table, the new coloumn name exist, but the
datasets where lost.
It would be nice, if renaming of a coloumn would work without deleting and
creating a new coloumn. Otherwise an information to the user is helpfull.

I checked this with OOO320m7 on WinXP and 3.1.1 and in both it is the same.

-Open attached database
-double click on Table1
= notice that dtText is filled
-edit Table1
-rename dtText in dttext
-push the save Button
- close and reopen Table1
=In the example you can see, that the dtLook coloumn now is at
the second position.

If you set an format for a table in the table designer like
  DD.MM.
for a date field, this will not displayed always correct.

It worked by double click on the table, or if you run a query in the query
designer.

But if you only double click on the query, the datefield format will be
ignored. In my case it will look like
  DD.MM.YY.

To see what i mean:
-open attached PDF file

To get what i mean:
-open attached database
-edit Query1 in design view
-change Criterion in dtEinsatzEnde in
 Criterion (Row) = = CURRENT_DATE
 Or (Row) = IS EMPTY
-click on Switch Design View On/Off twice
=Criterion is changed in one row

The new zoom function for database form do not refresh the screen correct.
If i use the zoom setting by klick on (-) or (+) or by using the (strg+scroll)
the zoom works properly.
But if i click on the line, elements of the form are scrabbled and overlapped.
The form is almost unusable. I will attach an screenshot.

If i open a form with double click on it, it opens twice or more. If the
data for the form is already load, the second form will be closed in the
background.

It looks for me, that the first form is opened in design view? And in the
background it looks like another window with no identification from my side.

If i use an database in DEV300m59 on WinXP with Java 1.6.0_16 it takes more than
3 times longer to work with Base than in 3.1.1.

To excecute an Report in 3.1.1 takes 25 sec, in DEV300m59 the same
Report takes 1 minute an 45 sec. without anything on the screen.
After that, it takes 10 sec. to get the Report with only 22 Pages.

To work with a form it's like the same. After double click it opens
twice, it takes 20 sec where you can see an empty Form.
If you change the dataset, you see first the Mainformdata refresh,
than the refresh of the first subform data and after that the
refresh from the second subform data. The main table has only 21
Datasets.

I Attched an screenshot from the double open form.

About trying to issue 104901, i found that there is a different, at wich time
default values would be displayed to the user. If you change the default values
in hsql tables by using the GUI, the default values where displayed by opening a
new dataset.

In my oppinion this is a must, because only with this behavior the user can know
where he has to input data.

But if you change the default values by using the /Tools/SQL, the default values
where displayed after leaving the row. This only makes sence if the fields in
forms where not displayed. (An empty field would be filled by user, because he
could never know about this)

Is there a way to change this behavior. Is it possible to get the default values
from the hsql database to the forms or tables to display them, before they where
inserted. The table-GUI doesent know about the values which where set by SQL,
the defaultvalue there is empty.

I did not really know if this is a defect or enhancement.

To get what i mean:
- open attached database
- open Tabelle1 by double click
- set the courser in dtText
= notice no default values where displayed
- close Tabelle1

- open Tabelle1 in design view
- set default value dtNumber to 1
- save and close
- open Tabelle1 by double click
- set the courser in dtText
= notice default value 1 where displayed immediately

- Open /Tools/SQL
- isert folowing into SQL and execute

alter table Tabelle1 alter dtNumber set default 5
alter table Tabelle1 alter dtDatum set default current_date

- Refresh tables /View/Refresh Tables

- open Tabelle1 by double click
- set the courser in dtText
= notice no default values where displayed
- insert some text and leave the row
= the default values where inserted

After changing default values in tables, the Primarykeyfield with an
Autoincrement starts at 0. I used the hsqldb on WinXp.

Please open attached database
-open Tabelle1 in design view
-set default value dtNumber to 1
-set default value dtOld to no
-save Tabelle1 and close

-open Tabelle1 by doubleclick
-insert a new dataset, and leave the row by using the TAB-key
= Error message
= klick Ok
- leave the row by using the TAB-key
= Error message
= klick Ok

After 6 Times to leave the row by TAB-key and klick OK, the
Autoincrement is back to 6 and can work proper.

But if you change

-set default value dtOld to yes,
the game will start from beginn.

But if there where more datasets (e.g. 500) in the table it is no
fun, to get the autoincrement to work again. It could be also, to
get wrong data.

Hi
I only want to remember this RFE. If i work with a lot of datasets and change
something that need a refresh it is ugly that you don't get the same dataset
back.

The work around today is ;-)
Have the Absolut-Record Number in your mind and after refresh, type this
Number in the Record field.
It would be nice, this could work by itself.

I checked with an conditional formating and found that the middle justification
is lost when the conditional format is set also to middle.

I did not really know if this is a problem with the new function or a problem
with the vertical justification in the formating dialog.
I thought is the justification set to default, it should use the the settings
from the normal textfield options.

It could be also, that the settings in the conditional formating dialog does not
save the changes different from Default.

Please let me know if this needs another issue for the second option.

I checked with sun-report-builder-alpha-1.1.1.m52.oxt

The query designer duplicates coloums if they not visible. Better, it put for
every change between SQL view and Design view one of the not visible marked
fields in the design view. To see what i mean, open the attached database.

-go to Queries
-open query was_ist_das to edit
-click once to SQL view by click on Design/SQL in the toolbar and
 back to design view.
= notice that the 3 coloumns like before

-go to coloumn JAHR and uncheck the visible button of Jahr
-click once to SQL view by click on Design/SQL in the toolbar and
 back to design view.
=in my case in design view has now 4 coloumns. MONAT and JAHR
  are marked not visible.
-click once to SQL view by click on Design/SQL in the toolbar and
 back to design view.
=in my case in design view has now 5 coloumns. JAHR is duplicated

For every switch between SQL view and Design view the coloum Jahr will be
inserted again.
But it is only the view, if you save the query it will stay right.

Hi
Please take a closer look at the generated document. In my case it
shows two side effects.
1)The first Timefield on Page 2 from the detail section is lost.
I have no idea why. You can see it, before every -Time is OK
  has to be an time.

2)The timefield in the header ignores the default format (hh:mm)

If you think this needs another issues, let me know.

Thanks
Ulf

I one case the timefield that was generate by
Insert/Date and Time falls of to 00:00.

To see what i mean,

-Open attached database
-Open report Tier by double click
= Look at the time field on the left hand side that shows the
correct time in the Page Header.
= Look at M Pagecount in the Page Header that will couting up to 72
   After that is ready,
= The time will fall of to 00:00
= Please notice, that every time/page field was original build by
   function without manual work.

I checked this with 310m7 and SRB 1.1.0 Beta3, WinXP, SP3, Java 1.6.0_12

If i open the same database with OOO3.0.1 and Sun Reportbuilder
1.0.6 the time field is OK

-Create an new report with the wizzard.
-Insert Date and Time from Insert/.. in Page Footer or Header
-Run the Report

I created an table in HSQLDB with integer fields. I set default values. Later i
want to change the default value by using the edit tables menu. But the changes
do not get saved. I want to create an example but there were a lot of different
results so i do not get the one working way.

Please play a little bit like: change default values, save, close table, refresh
tables, edit tables again. Important is to click the view/Refresh tables button.

-Open attached Database
-right click to open the table Example
-go to row ONE and change default value from 1 to 10
-save table by clicking
-go to row TWO and change default value from 3 to 20
-save table by clicking
= You can see that the default value is lost in field ONE
-close table
-click on view/Refresh tables
-edit table Example again
= In my example the default values always go back to previous
   values after doing this
= If i rename the column sometimes i get the default value for the
   row saved.
= Once i couldn't get any default values in 310m7 any more, but
after opening the same file in OOo3.0.1 the default values from
before where back again, also in OOO310m7.

Tested with OOODEV310_m4 on Windows XP and HSQLDB

If i change the SQL Statement and set () or (') as the first letter
in a row Openoffice OOODEV310_m4 crashes almost every time.

-open a new database
-open Tools/SQL
-copy the following SQL statemnet in the Command to execute Box
 like it is

CREATE TABLE kunden
(
id INTEGER NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY,
name VARCHAR(50),
vorname VARCHAR(50)
);

-change id in id when you set the courser in front of id
 and insert id
= In 99% the crash manager will come after insert the first ()

-set the courser in front of id and use backwards Key to have a
 statement like this

CREATE TABLE kunden
(id INTEGER NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY,
name VARCHAR(50),
vorname VARCHAR(50)
);
-if you now insert id it works so long as i try to do the same
with name. name will crash OOo again.

In 3.0.1 it works allways well.

Tested with OOODEV310_m4 and 3.0.1 on Windows XP and HSQLDB

-Please open attached Database
-Open Tools/Relationships...
-Insert table Eingang and table Tier
-create an relation between id an fiTier by drag and drop
-do not save
-close relation design
-click No by Do you want to save the changes?
-Open Tools/Relationships... again
= You see the relation from before, not a plain design view.

-delete relationship by clicking on it once and using the delete key
-do not save
-close relation design
-click No by Do you want to save the changes?
-Open Tools/Relationships... again
= You could not see the relation from before just
   a plain design view.

Both behavior are wrong, if the user say No, the relationship must
stay at the last time it was saved/opened in the design view.

There was an discussion on us...@de.openoffice.org. In my oppinon this is a
bug.

I want to create a report with OOo3.0.1 and Sun Report Builder 1.0.5 like this:
--PAGE 1--
HEADER = FROM AND MORE
DATE, BILLNUMBER

ID, ITEM

00, HUND
01, KATZE

--PAGE 2--

ID, ITEM

10, KUH
11, OCHSE

But every way i go is wrong. I get after the first value in GROUP HEADER or
REPORT HEADER an Pagebreak.
= There are two Billnumbers, I want to get an every 1 Page a Head and after
that the Billnumber. On every Page i want the Header ID, ITEM. After that i
need a Pagebreak.

To see what i mean open the attached database.
- go to reports
- open Reports rpt_show_header_twice to edit
- run report
= You see PAGE HEADER
GROUP HEADER 1, after that an PAGEBREAK between GROUP HEADER 1
and GROUP HEADER 2 what doesn't need here.
= Next Page you get the GROUP HEADER 2,PAGE HEADER and the details.
= I only want GROUP HEADER 2 on every following page. Looks like this
   example.

--PAGE 1--
PAGE HEADER
HEADER = FROM AND MORE
DATE, BILLNUMBER 1
--PAGE 2--

ID, ITEM

PAGE HEADER
00, HUND
01, KATZE

--PAGE 3--

ID, ITEM

PAGE HEADER
10, KUH
11, OCHSE

--PAGE 4--
PAGE HEADER
HEADER = FROM AND MORE
DATE, BILLNUMBER 2
--PAGE 5--

ID, ITEM

PAGE HEADER
16, KOBRA
17, DELFIN

--PAGE 3--

ID, ITEM

PAGE HEADER

Often the first Page has an Problem. Play a little bit with: Set REPEAT
SECTION=No in INDEX HEADER and/or FORCE NEW PAGE=After or Before. You get
different styles.

I got the same Problem with an REPORT HEADER. Here i only want one Bill.

To see what i mean open the attached database.
- go to Reports
- open report rpt_show_report_header to edit
- run report
= You see PAGE HEADER
REPORT HEADER, after that an PAGEBREAK between REPORT HEADER
and GROUP HEADER what doesn't need here.
= Next Page you get the GROUP HEADER, PAGE HEADER and the details.
= I only want the GROUP HEADER on every following page. Looks like this.

--PAGE 1--
PAGE HEADER
REPORTHEADER = FROM AND MORE
DATE, BILLNUMBER
--PAGE 2--

ID, ITEM

PAGE HEADER
01, HUND
02, KATZE

--PAGE 3--

ID, ITEM

PAGE HEADER
11, GIRAFFE
12, AFFE

I want to check with Win OOO310m1 and Reportbuilder from 30.01.09 from
ftp://qa-upload.services.openoffice.org/rptfix04/ but i got this:
= SQL Status: S1000 with every Report

The Page header is not the first value on reports when you use the
group header and set the property Header to Repeat Section=yes

The report was build by the Sun Report Builder extension 1.0.5. I checked with
Win OOO310m1 and Reportbuilder from 30.01.09 from
ftp://qa-upload.services.openoffice.org/rptfix04/ and it is the same problem.

-open the attached database
-open the report rpt_tiere to edit
-run the report
= You see first GROUP HEADER than PAGE HEADER
= Thats wrong, first must PAGE HEADER than GROUP HEADER
-Set Header/Repeat Section=no
-Save the report
-Run the report
= Now the PAGE HEADER and the GROUP HEADER works as it must

If you create a query in Design like Field || 'Test' || Filed2
or Field + Filed2 an set an alias, the alias is bound to the query.

But if you change something in Field + Filed2 like Field -
Filed2 or so after an alias name was set, the name is lost.

You get it first, if you run the query again, because it would be
shown right in the alias row.

If you dont know what i mean, please open the attached database

-open Query lose alias to edit in Design View
-run the Query
= notice that Im away if somthing change in Field is displayed as
column header
- change something in the Field row e.g. put one more Letter in
-run the query
= notice that Im away if somthing change in Field isnt displayed
anymore in the column header, but displayed in the Alias row.
-click once in the Alias row
= notice that Alias row is now empty.

I remeber this in most/all Base versions 2.0

To get the curser in control without using the mouse you have to activate
Automatic Control Focus.

But this dosn't work as it aspected if the first field propertie is
set to enabled=No

- open the attached Database
- open the form Eingang by double click
- notice that no courser is set
- try to change the date or inserting an new record without using
the mouse
- open the form Eingang in edit modus
- open properties for idEingang
- set Enabled=Yes
- disable Design mode
= you get the courser in control field idEingang
= please notice, that this field has also property read only and
Tabstop=No, so the focus has to go to the next one.

If you open a Form to Edit you can open properties for Control or
Form and the Form Navigator. After a change to Insert Mode the properties
where not displayed any more. If you change back they were displayed again.

This behavior is wonderful. But if you open toolbar More Controls
this behavior do not work for that toolbar. This toolbar only greyed
out and have no functionality. This has to be included in the
funktionality of auto hidden. Because if you dont close it by hand
it would be shown by opening the form in normal use too.

If you dont know what i mean, please open the attached database

-open form Eingang to edit
-open properties for control or form and Form Navigator
-open More Controls by click on icon on the left
-click 1 on Design Mode
= notice that More Controls displayed but unusuable
-do not close More Controls, close the form Eingang
-open form Eingang by double click
=notice that More Controls displayed but unusuable

The property browser has no position and/or size field for controls. Please make
it possible to use values in the form property's like the new Report Builder has
too.

Now it is not easy to change the size of an field without using the mouse.

To change the size, you have to open Position and Size dialog, where you only
change one field at once. After that you have to close the dialog, select the
next control and open the Position and Size dialog another time. This is no
fun to change a lot of field's to get the same size.

I prefer the first solution.

In the Mainform there is an subform(SubFormVerkauf)with a TableControl field and
an yellow field that shows the total Amount of the bill. The yellow field is on
another subform(SubFormRechSumme)that is conected to the TableControl subform.
In OOo 2.4 it works fine, in BEA300_m2 both fields don't work any more.
