On installation of openoffice 3.3 RC6 (newest) I get this error:

Error 1606. Could not access network location OpenOffice.org 3 Retry Cancel

I cannot install the latest version during an update. No errors before this.

Looks buggy to me!

Guess stick with older 3.0

I was working on a fax document and the PC froze up. It's unknown if
OpenOffice 2.1 was the problem but A reboot was necessary. After rebooting,
and trying to open up Writer--the RECOVERY window appears. If I click on
RECOVERY it just hangs up (wait 10 minutes). If I click on CANCEL it just
hangs up (also waited 10 mins with no response). I tried the repair WRITER
option. DThat had no affect (still opens up RECOVERY mode and freezes). I
then uninstalled ALL of OpenOffice 2.1 and reinstalled after a reboot. Same
problem. Can't use Writer at all now as it's stuck in a RECOVERY mode when I
try to start the program. So I uninstalled the program again. And this time I
deleted every OpenOffice entry in the registry and all OpenOffice files on the
hard drive. And then reinstalled OpenOffice. Nope, same problem. When I try
to start Writer it keeps trying to recover that damn document and hangs up when
you select RECOVERY or CANCEL. Apparently the only way I'm every going to be
able to use OpenOffice again is to do a complete reinstall of my entire hard
drive and all applications (possibly from an Acronis Image).

This kinds of sucks. What the heck is making it try to recover a document even
after I delete everything and reinstall the application? That is crazy. And
so is the requirement to go into RECOVERY mode -- it should be optional -- not
mandatory because it's freezing up the applications totally.

Right now no choice but to go back to Microsoft Office.

Is there a fix?
