looks good, the generator string now contains /report_builder at the end:

Oracle_Open_Office/3.4$Linux
OpenOffice.org_project/300m94$Build-9547$CWS-dba34b/report_builder

Please verify. Thanks.

- Create any simple report
- Execute it
- Open the created doc with zip and look at the meta.xml file, there is now a
different generator entry.

I propose to only update the product name of the generator string for documents
which the report builder creates.

I agree to the reasoning, but we must take care here to not break other things
here. I seem to remember that there are code places which behave differently,
depending on the document generator ...

@fs:
i believe we _only_ do that to work around bugs where older versions of OOo
write invalid ODF, or write valid ODF that does not mean what the ODF spec says
it means.

if there is any other use of the generator, then that is, imho, a bug that must
be fixed.
in fact i think the ODF spec explicitly says that consumers must not treat
documents differently based on the generator.

[btw, i couldn't figure out yesterday with grep where the heck the report
builder writes the generator...]

Sure. I just wanted to point out that this is something to care for when fixing
the bug. I would hate producing follow-up bugs because some Writer import code
depends its decisions on the generator ...

this is perfectly valid, but i still don't like it:
the report builder seems to write into meta.xml the same generator string that
OOo itself writes.

   meta:generator
xmlns:meta=urn:oasis:names:tc:opendocument:xmlns:meta:1.0Oracle_Open_Office/3.4$Solaris_x86
OpenOffice.org_project/300m86$Build-9518/meta:generator

i would prefer if it would write a slightly different string that does indicate
that it is the Report Builder extension that wrote the document, because the
Report Builder uses its own code to write these and not xmloff.
otherwise i'm afraid the Writer team will waste effort investigating ODF text
documents that aren't even written by Writer itself.
(i think the same reasoning holds for Spreadsheet documents.)
