can't reproduce in DEV300.m94 anymore. I suppose it was fixed with one of the
many drawing layer refactorings we had meanwhile.

fs-clu: if it doesn't hurt, then it's not 2.x, according to the rules.

This issue is known for ages, we had about 3 complaints over the last 10 or so
years ... - OOo Later

i can repro that after the deletion a frame stays (that is wrong) - but i
neither can see the deleted control fields anymore nor i can ungroup .. so
anything must differ in our handling - can you still repro that behavior after a
restart of the office?

Yes, there is only the rectangle. But you can select it, resize it, delete it or
even ungroup it. Ungroup the rectangle destroyes it.

You can also test the following:
- Create a form using the form wizard. Use not the table style, use a form where
control fields grouped with a lable field.
- Edit the form.
- Open the form navigator. In the navigator select all control fields.
- Activate the document by clicking on the title bar (if you override this step,
the following click in the document deselect all the control fields).
- Click at one control field and hold the mouse button a little bit (so, if you
want to drag and drop the control fields outside the document).
- Move the control fields away from there positions.

Now you can see many of the group frames ... You have moved the control fields
without the group frame. Or better: out of the frames - the control fields are
not longer grouped.

- create 2 grouped control fields, e. g. a textbox and a label field
- in the form navigator select both controlfields by using [Ctrl]
- delete the controls [Del]
Now you find a 'virtual' groupbox at the document, where the control fields were
placed. You can delete this box or even ungroup it. ;-)

If you delete only one of the control fields the last one is group with itself.
