Some more comments from my side on this issues:
- The "blue background object" of the 3rd record is cut.
- The 4th record on the 2nd page does not start at the same vertical position as
the 1st record.
- Records that contain objects (graphics, text frames, embedded objects, drawing
objects) should not be splitted by page breaks.
- Splitting objects on several pages (one part of it painted on page X and the
other part painted on page X+1) does not seem to make sense in my eyes.

re-opening.

This is a technically perfect explanation why it is as it is, but as an end
user, sorry, I don't care.

What I care for is that I carefully designed a report, and when I execute it,
then certain portions of the resulting document are not where I told them to be.
Moreover, they hide other portions of my hand-crafted document, which certainly
is not what I intended.

Maybe we need to consider this as an RFE for Writer, or find other solutions in
the report designer, but "INVALID" is no acceptable resolution.

No defect. The chart object is not misplaced. It is captured in the page area.
Embedded objects are not allowed the be outside the page area.

Could you please have a look at this one? The 3rd chart has the wrong positions.
I don't know what should happen when a page beak ( no manual break ) occurs in a
table row.

- open the attached database document
- execute the contained report by double-clicking it
=> note that the chart object for the third record is misplaced, it
overlaps with other fields in the same detail band
