Now I see that this seems to be not a specific problem of open office but a problem of kde. The same problem is with dolphin. So, when I open writer that menue is opened undocked already. (If you have to press F11 now to open the styling menue you cannot reproduce the problem.) Move OOo main window to an other virtual desktop like this: - right-click on title bar: send to (other) desktop The styling menue stays on old virtual desktop. If I close and then open the undocked "Styles and Formatting" menue again it moves with the main window as expected: - press F11 twice to close & open again Retry to move the OOo main window to an other virtual desktop. - right-click on title bar: send to (other) desktop The styling menue moves with the main window, at least here. :) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Though, I have another feature fitted to this subject: I open writer and have menue "Styles and Formatting" undocked (F11). If I switch the virtual desktop, that menue stays on the previous virtual desktop. But if I open and undock "Bullets and Numbering" menue additionally to the undocked menue "Styles and Formatting", both switch the virtual desktop as expected. Then, I close the undocked "Bullets and Numbering" menue and now the menue "Styles and Formatting" switches the virtual desktop as expected. It looks like the (undocked) menue "Styles and Formatting" is not correctly registered at the beginning?! I hope you could follow. I now use SUSE 11.2 with KDE 4.3.5 and OO 3.1.1.4 (from DVD). The problem does still exist.
