So I can supply you with all the detail on the graphics driver and on the graphics card (I copied this information beforehand), but I personally will never be able to generate any new crash reports any more. Does the supplied Windows crash report not help you as well? I think it also has a memory dump included. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Nevertheless I have copied all possible information on the graphics card and driver on the laptop where this bug happened. I will attach it as a zip file that contains: * Screenshot of Windows crash report after reboot (WindowsProblemberichtMeldung.jpg) * Windows crash report files (Mini072610-02.dmp & sysdata.xml) * Screenshot of Windows information on the graphics driver (TreiberScreenshot.jpg) * Output of the hardware information tool AIDA, concerning the laptop in general and the graphics hardware in particular (AidaReport-ComputerSummary.htm & AidaReport-Display.htm) For quick reference: + the graphics card is a "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 500" or GMA 500 + the used driver is also from Intel and has the filenames "igxprd32" or "igxpmp32.sys" To my knowledge (September 2010), there is no update for this Intel graphics driver. If you need more information or copies of other files, please let me know. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. This type of problem is usually tied to a very specific combination of graphics hardware and driver and does not affect (to my knowledge) may users. @hardy314: Without direct access to this type of notebook there is very little that I can do. It would help to know more about the graphics hardware and driver. A stack trace (report mail) would also help. It may help to update the driver of the graphics card. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I have tried it: When I turn off the usage of hardware acclearation in OO, then it does NOT crash any more during presentation mode. :) Alternativly I can also leave this ticked on in OO and turn the hardware acclearation off in Windows, that also helps. Suggestion: Is it a thinkable option to have this hardware accelaration turned off by DEFAULT in OO ? I understand that this might implicate some performance loss for all users. But it also means to avoid very nasty blue screen crashes for some (increasingly more) netbook users! I think I have read somewhere during my web searches for this crash, that MS Powerpoint has the hardware acclearation turned off during presentation mode by default. I cannot judge this, but the Powerpoint Viewer had no problems/ crashes when displaying the same presentation on my netbook under Win XP. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. (with the fancy screen resolution of 1366*768 pixels) (I suspect this to be the main reason, but cannot prove it right now) * use Openoffice 3.2 (the original version from the OO homepage) (I have not tried other OO versions) * use Windows XP (it dit NOT happen with OO 3.2 under Ubuntu Linux) * open or create ANY presentation document with Impress * start the presentation mode (by pressing F5) * The first slide will appear properly for ~2 seconds * Then, suddenly blue-screen! * The blue-screen crash text says something like: "maybe the program igxpdd32.dll has caused this "it tried to write to a write protected memory area" -> then reboot The same presentation will be properly displayed by the MS-Excel-Viewer under the same Win-XP on the same machine. Probably this information is not enough for anyone to suceed in debugging this. How can I help you? What further information do you need? (I am sorry but will not be able to answer any questions to this topic between mid of next week and october this year, so better ask now or irgnore this issue...) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
