Workaround is to copy your settings to developer snapshot settings in your $HOME

Yes, i found the work-around already. But i still do think it would be nice to
copy the settings to the developer-snapshot during installation. This would ease
the testing for me. (However, once you find out wich files to copy, it is not a
big deal to do it yourself ofcourse...:-) )

Hi,
Installing OOo-dev 2.3 for testing-purposes breaks configuration-settings,
basic-functions, macros and so on.

Expected results:
Keep the same settings, macros and basic-functions in the developer snapshots as
in the previous versions of OOo.

I can't assist that. The thought behinnd the current situation is that an
developer snapshot should not harm the environment of a stable version. Due to
the fact that a developer snapshot might always be buggy and damage the work
environment of OOo we don't use the settinngas of a final snapshot.
