Hi Frank,

you are 100% right! I saved it as an XLS-file but what I did not know, is that 
Excel does not support more than 1 link within 1 cell.

In addition/correction to the stated issue, the text should read: 'After saving 
 closing the file/open office and starting it up again, the link still worked, 
but it was suddenly linked to the COMPLETE text within the cell.'

Hi,

but the most relevant part you mist to tell us is...
to which format did you save ?
I guess it is XLS and if so, this behavior is normal as Excel only can assign
hyperlinks to whole cells as far as I remember.

Hi,
today I made a spreadsheet with links to URL's, JPG's, documents etc. To 
realise a link I selected A PART OF the text within a cell and defined the link 
via Add = Hyperlink. It all worked fine.
After saving the file and starting it up again, the link still worked, but it 
was suddenly linked to the COMPLETE text within the cell.

The problem remains after upgrading to 3.2.1.
