This mainly happened when using MS Word export filter. From the version you
stated I assume that you use OOo 3.0.1. Please upgrade to OOo 3.1.1. See issue
101451 and issue 99024.
Please next time give a little more specific summary and description - "problem
with table" could mean anything...

While using the tables I have found that the tables will sometimes bend as well 
as disappear while using 
them. It only seems to happen after you add text to a table that has been saved 
at an earlier time. 
OPENOFFICE ROCKS!!!
