To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=90910 User hdu changed the following: What|Old value |New value CC|'hdu' |'hdu,pl' Ever confirmed| |1 Status|UNCONFIRMED |STARTED --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Jul 22 15:00:20 + 2008 --- The heuristics from X11SalDisplay::GetScreenFontResolution() hits again: Due to http://gsl.openoffice.org/source/browse/gsl/vcl/unx/source/app/saldisp.cxx? r1=1.38.6.3r2=1.38.6.4 the font resolution becomes 120dpi while the display resolution is often around 96 dpi. So there is a huge mismatch. Though the patch in issue 11507, which disabled this heuristic, supposedly got applied, but it is still active. @pl: is it still needed? Simply disabling has some strange effects though: the window+font sizes on UNX are way too small now. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. That's about the only thing I can remember about it. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Because the first font is definitely not Arial, it's not even a sans-serif font. Your screenshot still exhibits the bug, since all 3 texts have the same font in the document, but the text on the top push button in your screenshot is displayed with a sans-serif font whereas the other 2 texts surrounding it have a serif font. Furthermore the text on the bush button has thicker letters than the surrounding texts. This bug is only fixed if all 3 texts in each group look *exactly* the same (since the font properties are the same in the document). This implies that in case a font is not installed, the same fallback font needs to be used in all cases. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. On Windows they are all displayed and printed correctly. Under Linux, however, the following problem occurs (verified on Debian and OpenSuse on 2 different machines, both times with OOo 2.4.1): The text Beschriftungsfeld on the gray button has a different size from the other 2 form elements above and below, despite having the same font and size assigned. The problem is visible on screen (see screenshot. The text doesn't fit on the button anymore.) and on a printout. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
