And may be at the download-page the splitt can be made between the links to branched-out betas and ongoing developement - May be you are right, this are two points - one the easy way to find and follow issues and its solutions, yes, that is more EIS-related - and two the testing. But being frank, I accept to have some odds on the feature-frozen betas, but I am no longer willing to use any of the mainline(DEV). So I want to judge myself on the given infos (www) before download, and want to have clear naming. the example from my first entry just showed that even well trained users sometimes do not understand, to which version an issue is adressd to (or issuezilla is not uptodate at time of release of snapshotbuilds!) Bytheway - reading your words to M.Hollmichel - there may be misunderstanding: I am a user, with the intention to promote OO.o - so testing is done within real and daily work, which gives a different approach, I do no want to use my time for testing, I check if some problems are solved and want to use my time for working - because I am not paid for sw-developement. However, my conclusion: The best would be to make clear headlines on the snapshot-download-page and to splitt the download-option clearly to (most stable) betas and (experimental) dev-builds. So either we find a way to put the necessary information into Issue Tracker or we have to find other means, most probably EIS. From your description I read the following requirements: - we need a fast and easy way to find out which issues have been fixed in what milestone and so should be tested - if new code lines are branched off we need a fast and easy way to find out the last milestone on the main code line that is included into the new branch I hope I understood that correctly (sorry, but your description is quite hard to read). Martin (Hollmichel), any idea where and how we can put this forward? From the QA point of view it makes a lot of sense to get this information fast and easily as you want to use your time for testing, not for finding out what you shall test. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
