well, that is good.  however, my simple grado ph-1 preamp has no volume
control.  so, having some sort of volume control within the driver would
be nice.  also, the levels of the left and right channels on some vinyl
records are not exactly equal, when they should be.  so, adjusting the
left/right line levels independently in the driver would be nice also.

oh, and, further, the line volume *is* altered when adjusting the mic
levels, just not independently the left/right levels.
