Hi,
I'm trying to get a52 encoding to work on fedora 8. I'm pretty sure I
have the asoundrc file set up correctly but I am having a problem that
the plugin a52 cannot be found, the following is the error I get:
ALSA lib pcm.c:2106:(snd_pcm_open_conf) Cannot open shared library
/usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_a52.so
Playback open error: -2,No such file or directory
The file /usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_a52.so does not exist.
I do not believe this module is included with fedora 8 (i have installed
all the alsa-plugin packages). I downloaded the alsa-plugins source in
order to build this module but when I configure it does not enable this
module and if I try to build this module directly it has compile
errors. What are the prereqs required to building this module? I have
googled for information on this plugin but have not been able to find
any documentation on what is required in order to build it.
If this module is included in some packages that i'm not aware of could
you please tell me where it can be found. If not can you please tell me
what is required in order to build it myself.
Thanks,
Justin
