Is it possible to configure it on per-user basis? That one user has access to only one of those soundcards, and another user - only to another sound card? I just want to make sure, before I dive into pulseaudio manual :) -- Janek Kozicki | - This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ ___ Alsa-user mailing list Alsa-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
[Alsa-user] Two heads, two users, two soundcards
Hi, I'm planning to configure in few months a two-headed workstation for me and my wife. (I already learned about configuring two headed X, two LCDs for me, one for her, and double keyboard, and mouse and so forth). Now I need to know how can I configure two sound cards properly? So that we both can be listening to different music on headphones. can you provide me with any hints? I'm using debian lenny, if that might be of importance. -- Janek Kozicki | - This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ ___ Alsa-user mailing list Alsa-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
