The beta version also supports TeleDongle if your Android device has USB
OTG.

I've uploaded version 1.6.0.3, in preparation to creating a
 1.6.1 when
people are happy enough with the code.

 Big changes include:

  * Offline maps. Download maps for you favorite launch sites
 and track
    without network access

  * Map types. Use satellite images, road maps or terrain
 data to help
    locate your rockets

  * Voice output now depends on current selected tab. This
 way, you have
control over what voice information you're
 getting.

  * Track multiple rockets. This remembers every rocket the
 device has
ever seen and shows them all on the map at
 once, letting you select
    among them for further information.

If you're a member of the AltosMetrum Google+ community, you
 should
already be able to see the beta version in the play store.
 Otherwise,
feel free to visit this page:

 https://play.google.com/apps/testing/org.altusmetrum.AltosDroid

I've tested the code about as much as I can by myself and am
 now looking
for people willing to help out with that, and provide
 feedback about the
 new stuff.

Good to know. So many ways to break stuff that I wouldn't see in my

It depends on your device whether you can install stuff from other
places, but here's the raw application file:

http://keithp.com/~keithp/altos-1.6.1/AltosDroid-release.apk

It's annoying that the only way to see beta versions in the play store
is to join google+.

I joined the Google+ group, but I'm also unable to reach the link.

Keith,

The link provided doesn't seem to work. Probably because I don't
belong to Google+. Is there another way to get the file so I can help
test it?

This now works with TeleDongle, if your device supports USB OTG. You'll
need a magic USB OTG cable, which has the USB micro B plug on one end and
a USB standard A socket on the other end.

Oh, one change I forgot to mention -- it now supports TeleDongles and
TeleBT devices plugged in over USB if your device supports USB
OTG. You'll need a special cable to plug things together, but connecting
TeleDongle now automatically starts AltosDroid talking to the device.

Keith,

Will this work with the TeleDongle or only the TeleBT?

Thanks,
