Amanda_Backup_Win32 and XP

Attempts to test binary install on client

amandad.exe fails to launch

Is the binary supposed to work with XP?
Is the compiled source known to work with XP?

thanks

/usr partition fails to write to tape although it seems to dump to the
holding disk OK. Nothing is left in the holding disk
(/var/local/storage/hold_amanda).

What is the syntax to generate an index file from tape that is usable with
amrecover?

For some reason the MacOSX amanda clients fail to generate an index files.

disklist format

2001-09-02 Thread ThomasRatliffDDS

Trying to get this running on MacOSX.

Disks are labeled as /dev/rdisk0,/dev/rdis1, etc.

How does one write the entry for the 9th partition on /dev/rdisk0? I
tried /dev/rdisk09 but that wasn't correct.

thanks

MacOSX_CompileError

2001-08-28 Thread ThomasRatliffDDS

--Client-only compile went OK but wasn't able to get things going from the
host so I thought a complete compile would give me a system I could debug
before working on host connection stuff. But the full compile fails with

/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link cc -g -O2-o amindexd amindexd.o
disk_history.o list_dir.o ../common-src/libamanda.la libamserver.la
../tape-src/libamtape.la../common-src/libamanda.la -lm -lreadline
-lcurses
cc -g -O2 -o amindexd amindexd.o disk_history.o list_dir.o
../common-src/.libs/libamanda.a -lm -lreadline -lcurses

-lm -lreadline -lcurses ../common-src/.libs/libamanda.a -lm -lreadline
-lcurses -lm -lreadline -lcurses
/usr/bin/ld: Undefined symbols:
_start_time
make[1]: *** [amindexd] Error 1
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

And the build --without-libtools gives the same error

Help/direction would be appreciated

thanks
