[amsat-bb] FX.25 for satellite communications
Hi, In august 2010 object 09038F ANDE-2 Castor satellite decayed. It was using an experimental 1200 bauds AX.25 packet beacon with Forward Error Corrections : FX.25 frames. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FX.25_Forward_Error_Correction I am interested in doing some experiment with FX.25 and looking for some source code for encoding and decoding FX25. In a message from Mike DK3VN on Google group forum https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/fx25/R9gXJUe_NKU/3beFwRP5R8kJ there is a citation of a file called rs_decode_avr2.tar but no link. Stensat page FX.25 on air performance dated 2007 http://eludium.stensat.org/mcguire/projects/FX-25/ has links for files FX-25_enc_03.c and FX-25_extract.c However these are probably alpha or beta versions and are not fully operational. Can someone provide some clues toward more up-to-date FX.25 sources ? 73 de Bernard, f6bvp AMSAT-France past President ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. Opinions expressed are those of the author. [amsat-bb] ARISSat RF and audio recordings
Hi, Very good quality recordings of ARISSAT1 wide band RF signals are available on AMSAT telemetry directory. http://www.amsat.org/amsat/ftp/telemetry/arissat/recordings/ However, the server downloads are very slow probably due to a limited bandwidth. Laurent, F6FVY managed to upload the three files on a ten times faster server. http://dl.free.fr/kMOKtIsK2 http://dl.free.fr/n5dpN5JJx http://dl.free.fr/jXbL1U3Dz These RF stereo audio wav files may be played back and demodulated using any SDR software like HDSDR. AMSAT-DK made available BPSK telemetry audio files already demodulated that may be decoded by ARISSatTLM program. http://www.amsat.dk/oz7sat/sched.php?gs=oz1ktesat=ARISSAT-1status=All These audio files are sampled at48 kHz and include CW andBPSK1000 designed by Phil KA9Q (http://www.ka9q.net/bpsk1000.html). 73 de Bernard, f6bvp ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. [amsat-bb] ARISSAT FCD dongle I/Q recording
Hello, Bonjour, ARISSAT satellite was received 2011-08-21 around 1906 UTC via FCD dongle on a vertical VHF antenna (+13dB), 35 metres long coaxial feedline and indoor SSB electronics preamp. Location in Paris, JN18DV. I/Q signal were saved using Audacity (stereo 96000 samples/sec 16 bits .wav file. Size 45MB) http://f6bvp.free.fr/ARISSAT-FCD-dongle/HDSDR_20110821_190634Z_145922kHz_RF.wav SpectraVue replay of .wav file analysis screen capture http://f6bvp.free.fr/ARISSAT-FCD-dongle/ARISSAT_FCD_20110821_1906UTC_ORB_272_JN18DV.png 73s de Bernard, f6bvp ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. [amsat-bb] FUNcube received ARISSAT stereo I/Q recording for SDR
Hello, This was a proof of concept i.e. recording under Linux with Audacity, ARISSAT signal received with an FUNcube dongle. Signals were weak for the record was performed at the end of the night pass. wav file can be transferred on an iPad an then read with the very nice application iSDR. I will try to do a better recording next time. The 14MB file can be downloaded from : http://f6bvp.free.fr/videos/Audacity_FCD_41000_Stereo_16bits_19_08_11_1930UTC.wav 73 de Bernard, f6bvp ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. [amsat-bb] Re: Live ARISSat Deployment EVA Video
Hello All, This event reminds us that nearly 14 years ago RS-17 Sputnik 40 built by AMSAT France was launched from MIR Russian station during an EVA. Video can be downloaded from http://f6bvp.free.fr/amsat-f/media/sput40a.mov and a Web page (in French) is dedicated to this very first launch of a microsatellite from a space station. http://www.amsat-france.org/spipamsat/article.php3?id_article=59 73 de Bernard, f6bvp AMSAT France Founding President Le 3 août 2011 à 16:36, Joseph Armbruster josepharmbrus...@gmail.com a écrit : I hope every AMSAT member is watching this right now, it's incredibly exciting!
