[amsat-bb] ARISSAT-1 report

2011-08-15 Thread g.shirville

Hi All,

Just popped outside from the IARU Region 1 Conference meeting to catch an
ARISSAT pass.

Good signals with an Arrow and a FCD and also using a G0MRF prototype filter
amplifier with 5v being supplied by the Dongle. (Thanks David for the loan)

Voice telemetry reported MET of 41 mins - which corresponds very well to
when it left eclipse over the Pacific. Battery volts 35.74 and current -4ma

The signal had no fading but several occasional ~ 100 msec breaks in
transmission were noted.

I just failed to identify a ZS station using the transponder!

[amsat-bb] ARISSat-1 Report

2011-08-04 Thread GW1FKY
Hi all,
Listened for ARISSat-1 at 0605 hrs GMT here in Wales -UK.
This pass was a low angle but I had no problems in hearing the
transmissions on 145.825 Mhz, the satellite sounded very healthy and the
voice and
SSTV very clear indeed.
My sincere congratulations to all concerned and of course to all whom
gave the support to enable the project to proceed.Amateur Radio is
well spoken for in its voice announcement.
Regards
Ken Eaton
